The damage types and status effects in Mortal Shell II, and how each one behaves.
Burn
Deals accumulated damage over time.
Chaos
Inflicts a random condition when it expires.
Confusion
Causes the victim to attack nearby allies for its duration. If none are present, the victim instead suffers severe Break Damage.
Cosmic Disease
The affected target takes damage over time and deals reduced damage.
Critical Hit
A hit that deals bonus damage.
Curse
Applying enough stacks Curses the target, nullifying their next melee strike against you and turning it back upon them

Affected victims receive Break Damage from melee attacks.
Faith
While in this state melee attacks regenerate additional Resolve.
Fragile
Affected targets take bonus damage from Weapon attacks.
Havoc
Affected victims receive Break Damage from ranged attacks.
Infect
When struck, spreads Poison to the attacking enemy.
Leech
Gain stacks by slaying enemies. Each stack increases Max Health. All stacks are lost on death.
Lightning
Deals damage over time. On sufficient repeated applications a shockwave is released.
Mitigation
Chance to resist the application of a negative condition.
Pain
Marks health as Gray Health, lost in a single hit but cured by melee attacks.
Perforation
Affected targets take bonus damage from Sidearm attacks.
Phantom
Deals accumulated splash damage and Stagger Damage when it expires.
Poison
Long-lasting effect that deals damage over time.
Shadow
Renders you undetectable for its duration.
Slaughterer
Each stack raises the low health threshold at which enemies are executed
Stasis
Distorts time, slowing the target. Multiple stacks worsen the effect.
Trauma
Deals Break damage over time.
Vomit
Stuns an already poisoned enemy.
Warp
Slightly increases Weapon attack speed.
Weak
Affected targets deal less damage.
