Story

Tagar claims there is no way to lift the crypt's curse. Meet with Ulgorn, who went to the crematorium in search of a way to lift it.

"Let's purge this curse together!" Ever since returning from the crypt, Ulgorn had been plagued by nightmares of corpses chasing him and giant spiders devouring him alive. He could not remember the last time he had awakened feeling rested, and his body felt heavy with exhaustion. There was only one explanation. He was certain he had been cursed. After enduring days of Ulgorn's complaints, the gravekeeper Tagar had finally had enough. Knowing that no such cure existed, he simply watched Ulgorn wander off in search of his assistant, convinced he had found another gullible fool. Following the assistant's advice, Ulgorn asked you to accompany him to the tomb of a deceased Daeva noble. Not because he was afraid to go alone, of course, but because he was convinced that you had probably been cursed as well. Together, you performed a proper rite for the dead before returning to the village to seek a "blessing of luck." "You know... I've known them for a while, but this is the first time I've ever received letters from them..." Ulgorn anxiously read the letters he had received. Hadala's handwriting was elegant, though a few letters were written in a different color for some inexplicable reason. Perhaps she had simply run out of ink, he thought, making a mental note to buy her some as a token of thanks. Nemon's letter was completely blank, front and back. Had she used some kind of magical encryption? Then came Dinoh's letter. The brat had passed along a cursed chain letter! Now Ulgorn had to hand-copy the absurdly long letter seven times and pass it on to others within three days. What a nightmare! Who should receive the first copy? Maybe Galorik... For some reason, the word "IDIOT" would not leave Ulgorn's mind. He had already lifted the crypt's curse... so what what could this be now?
