Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 surpasses 1 million sales

1 min read

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched as the highest-rated game of 2025 so far, and despite this week's release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, it has managed to achieve an impressive number of sales.

Just a few days after launch, Sandfall Interactive announced that the game had already surpassed 500K sales. Now, after a strong weekend boost, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially crossed the 1 million sales milestone.

In a tweet, the studio thanked fans for their support and noted that they reached the 1 million players mark much earlier than expected. Notably, this number does not include players who accessed the game through Game Pass.

For those unfamiliar, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG where players must defeat The Paintress, a goddess-like figure who controls death in this fantasy world. The game has received widespread acclaim from critics, and players on Steam are leaving overwhelmingly positive reviews.
