Smilegate RPG has launched the closed beta phase in South Korea for Lost Ark Mobile, the highly anticipated mobile and cross-platform adaptation of its popular MMORPG. The test will run until November 16, 2025 and is limited to players who received an invitation, as the registration period has already ended.
The beta can be played on PC through the STOVE application, as well as on iOS and Android mobile devices.
If you want to see how the gameplay looks, you can check out the livestreams from various content creators who are already testing this early version.
Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Lost Ark Mobile remains closely connected to the original Lost Ark and preserves its core features: a vast open world, cinematic scenes, dynamic combat, and plenty of content to enjoy both solo and cooperatively.
For now, the official release date has not yet been announced.
The team at Chrono Studio continues to showcase the progress made in the development of Chrono Odyssey, their online action RPG. In a newly released short clip, the developers presented the visual updates applied to character equipment, highlighting an overall darker tone and more clearly defined details.
According to the studio’s explanation in the video description, these improvements go beyond the visual aspect and are part of a broader effort to optimize the game’s performance:
“The project’s progress reflects performance improvements and adjustments to rendering optimization. The footage may not represent the final version. More updates will be shared soon!”
Even so, the reactions were not entirely positive. Some players commented that, by making the visuals darker, the game’s aesthetic shifted from being too bright to looking overly dim. They suggested the title needs more brightness and contrast to prevent the world from appearing dull or lifeless.

The team explained that this new approach aims to deliver greater visual depth and realism by blending ambient lighting with more natural shadows. The result is an environment that alternates between dark, mysterious landscapes and areas of breathtaking beauty, creating a more immersive and cinematic atmosphere.
According to Npixel, the graphical improvements are still in development, meaning that the lighting effects shown are not final. Even so, the first results represent a major step forward in the project’s artistic and technical direction, reflecting the attention to detail that the studio has promised since the reveal of Chrono Odyssey.
The world of Setera is changing. ✨ Ambient light meets calm darkness, blending into a new kind of beauty. Some places now feel darker, some more breathtaking. 👀

FirstSpark Games and Amazon Games have rolled out the major update Solisium’s Awakening on the global servers of Throne and Liberty. This patch introduces a new weapon type, a 24 vs 24 PvP battlefield, a revamped tutorial, and a support system designed to improve the player experience.
Hyperboost server adjustments
In the global version, the Hyperboost servers feature changes compared to the Korean edition. For the first 2 to 3 months, they will remain separated from the main servers regarding the auction house and cross-server activities.
However, the character progression questline up to around 6000 GS is available across all servers. According to Amazon Games, this system does not limit players and still allows them to play alongside friends on existing servers.
Additionally, new players will benefit from in-game currency bonuses and enhanced stats, making it easier to progress and face boss battles.
Partial global expansion
Although many players expected the global version of Throne and Liberty to be available in more regions, for now it has only been expanded to South Korea and Taiwan.
NCSoft previously stated its intention to extend coverage to all countries in Region 1, which would include Russia and CIS territories, although no official date has been confirmed yet.
A step forward for NCSoft’s MMORPG
With Solisium’s Awakening, Throne and Liberty strengthens its position as a global MMORPG, delivering impactful new content and advantages for beginners, while setting the stage for a broader international expansion in the future.
NCSoft hosted a new special livestream of Aion 2, where developers from Korea and Taiwan answered community questions and shared major updates of the highly anticipated MMORPG. If you missed it, here’s a full recap of the highlights.
Some players expressed concerns that the UI looked too “mobile-like”, but the team clarified that Aion 2 is designed as a PC-first title. They also confirmed the interface isn’t final, as they rushed it to meet the open beta schedule. Since the last broadcast, improvements have already been made to ensure the experience feels more natural on PC.
Gameplay and Systems
Dungeons & PvP: players can now teleport directly into dungeons, preventing ambushes at entrances. This ensures smoother leveling, while PvP content will have its own dedicated space.
Mobile Combat: there will be no full “auto-combat.” Instead, a combat assistance system will keep gameplay accessible on mobile, while still requiring active player input.
Abyss Zone: PvP will be available for 7 hours per week, with the option to extend the timer using special items.
Death & Revival: in PvE, revival items can be used, but in PvP resurrection crystals won’t work if killed by the enemy faction. Kisks return, allowing players to set custom respawn points just like in Aion 1.
Factions: Elyos and Asmodians are more balanced overall, though some differences remain.
Mounts, Housing, and Economy
Mounts will serve a dual purpose: besides transportation, they can also act as companion pets. The housing system lets players showcase achievements and reward statues. On the economy side:
Kinah remains the main in-game currency.
Quna is used for shop transactions.
The auction house only uses Kinah, though players can freely exchange Kinah and Quna, with rates determined by the player-driven economy (similar to Lost Ark).
Business Model
The game will be free-to-play with optional subscription and battle pass. The cash shop will include cosmetics, outfits, weapon skins, pets, and wings. Pets can also be earned in-game. A wardrobe system will store skins, and the trading post will offer consumables and limited bag expansions (but no enchantment stones).
Official Release Date
The most awaited news is finally here:
Official Launch: November 19, 2025 (November 18 depending on your time zone).
Pre-download & character creation: November 16–18, 2025.
Pre-registration rewards: Kinah and a special mount, no phone number required.
With these announcements, the hype is skyrocketing: Aion 2 now has a confirmed release date in Korea and Taiwan, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest MMORPG launches of the year.
The free-to-play MMORPG Tarisland, available on PC and mobile since July 2024, has announced the permanent shutdown of its servers in November 2025. The decision marks the end of an adventure that, while it began with high expectations, failed to establish itself in the highly competitive MMORPG market.
From a big promise to an early ending
Presented as a potential rival to World of Warcraft, Tarisland generated massive interest before its launch. However, as months went by, the player base declined significantly, eventually reaching unsustainable levels.
The community had already anticipated this outcome, pointing out that the project did not live up to the expectations initially set by the developers.
What went wrong with Tarisland?
The downfall of Tarisland can mainly be attributed to two factors:
Uninspiring gameplay mechanics that failed to engage players in the long term.
A heavily criticized monetization model that negatively impacted the overall experience.
Although the game attempted to deliver varied content, its progression system was plagued by microtransactions that gave paying players significant advantages. This quickly created community dissatisfaction, leading to a mass player exodus.
Another MMORPG failure
After just over a year on the market, Tarisland says goodbye as yet another MMORPG that showed great promise but failed to survive. Its closure leaves the industry with a clear lesson: the importance of a fair business model and gameplay mechanics that truly engage players over time.
Much like the most recent entries in the series, Resident Evil Requiem will not leave the last generation of consoles behind, nor the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
According to Capcom insider Dusk Golem on X, the ninth entry in the popular survival horror franchise, scheduled for release in early 2025, will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo’s new console. These versions have not yet been officially announced, and it is unclear if they will launch simultaneously with the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S editions. The leaker speculates they could be different builds with their own technical adjustments.
(1/3) I won't be at around the bush, Resident Evil Requiem should be releasing in PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch 2, seems this was kinda' known behind the scenes & in the grapevine. I'm not the first person to say this publicly actually, just corroborating. Talked about it with

Optimization and polish in line with Resident Evil 4 Remake
Dusk Golem also discussed the technical aspects of Resident Evil Requiem, stating that the game is being developed with a focus on optimization and polish, similar to what we saw with the Resident Evil 4 Remake. To achieve this, the team is reportedly receiving support from developers experienced with PC and previous entries in the series.
Since the game does not feature an open-world structure like Monster Hunter Wilds, the RE Engine should run more smoothly. This is significant, as recent titles using the engine, such as Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds, faced performance and optimization issues across platforms.
RE4R over Wilds for certain. Resident Evil Requiem I think is helped the team behind RE games have a lot of PC experience, don't need a full open world, & I think they took time to focus on optimizing & polishing the game, alongside reworking a few areas. https://t.co/KewUKQEf2T

Resident Evil 0 Remake still in development
In addition to Requiem, the insider shared updates on the Resident Evil 0 Remake, another project currently in the works. Development of this remake reportedly faced restarts and team changes, much like what happened with the Resident Evil 4 Remake, so it may still be some time before it is officially revealed.
Capcom and its cross-gen strategy
Considering that Capcom views the high price of current-generation consoles as a factor impacting game sales, it would not be surprising for Resident Evil Requiem to also release on PS4. Based on impressions from Gamescom, the cross-gen approach does not seem to compromise the experience, which is good news for fans on all platforms.
(1/2) Originally, Zero Remake & Resident Evil Requiem were meant to be out by now. But both received internal delays, Zero received a form of reboot & changed hands in who's working on it late last year.
Keep in mind various scopes of reboots are common in this series, not https://t.co/oFfWwEMyrc

The long-awaited Duet Night Abyss Steam page is now live, surprising the gaming community. Originally, the developers confirmed that the PC version would only be distributed through their official launcher and the Epic Games Store.
However, it has now been confirmed that the title will also be released on the Valve store, expanding players’ access options.
At the moment, it is still unclear whether Duet Night Abyss on Steam will be available simultaneously with the global launch or later. The game’s page still shows the status “Release Date: To be announced”, leaving open the possibility of a delay on this platform.
It’s worth noting that the global release date of Duet Night Abyss is set for October 28, 2025, on both PC and mobile devices with iOS and Android.
The Korean version of the highly anticipated blockchain MMORPG Legend of YMIR has received a major update, introducing the brand-new Archer class as its main highlight.
The Archer is a versatile fighter capable of striking enemies both at range and in close combat. To try out the new class, players don’t need to create a brand-new character; they can simply use a class change ticket.
Server and Gameplay Changes
The update also introduced important adjustments to the game’s infrastructure:
Merge of three server groups into one, directly impacting cross-server battles.
Introduction of the option to run two game clients simultaneously, which developers say enables more strategic and flexible gameplay.
PvP Balance Adjustments
The patch also implemented key changes to the PvP balance system:
Adjusted PvP attack power and defense power stats.
Reduced PvP critical hit damage values.
The Dash skill now grants immunity to crowd control effects while in use.
On the Road to the Global Version
Meanwhile, the pre-registration for Legend of YMIR’s global version remains open, with its release scheduled for Fall 2025. With this update, the MMORPG is positioning itself as one of the most ambitious and competitive blockchain titles of the year.
Hero Games and developer PAN STUDIO have officially confirmed the global release date of Duet Night Abyss, their highly anticipated anime-style action fantasy RPG. The title will be available for free starting on October 28, 2025, launching on PC (via the official launcher and Epic Games Store) as well as on iOS and Android mobile devices.
An Anime Action RPG with Dynamic Combat
Duet Night Abyss blends the best of fast-paced hack and slash combat with a multidimensional combo system, allowing players to seamlessly switch between melee weapons and ranged weapons.
Players will be able to wield a wide variety of weapons, from whips to sniper rifles and grenade launchers, adapting every battle to their preferred playstyle.
Unlike many RPGs, all characters and weapons can be unlocked for free by collecting fragments within the game, giving players the freedom to experiment with different builds and strategies.
Game Modes and Customization
On the battlefield, players can perform aerial and ground maneuvers, chain special attacks, and face massive waves of enemies in frenetic combat scenarios.
The game’s missions will feature varied objectives, such as tracking, reconnaissance, and rescue operations, ensuring diversity and replayability.
In addition, Duet Night Abyss places a strong emphasis on customization: players can repaint weapons and outfits, add accessories, and create unique combinations to personalize their characters.
A Highly Anticipated Global Launch
With its release set for October 2025, Duet Night Abyss is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated free-to-play anime action RPGs of the year, offering an innovative combat system, deep customization, and the advantage of being available on PC, iOS, and Android at no cost.
One of the first questions new players ask when starting Soulframe is: “Can I unlock more Pacts (classes), or am I stuck with the one I chose at the beginning?”
The answer is simple: yes, you can unlock every Pact in Soulframe, no matter which one you started with. Some are easy to unlock, while others require more grinding and dedication.
In this quick guide, we explain how the Pact system works and the exact steps to unlock all classes.
How to Unlock Pacts in Soulframe
To unlock a new Pact, you need to craft it. There are three main requirements:
Unlock crafting with Tuvalkane
Recruit Tuvalkane (Nightfold Ancestor) and raise your Bond to Level 3. The fastest way is crafting multiple weapons and armor pieces.
Get the Pact recipe
Some recipes are quest rewards (e.g., The Torment Stag for Garren Rood; The Shewolf Snared for Orengall). Others are purchased from factions at higher ranks (see below). Once obtained, the recipe appears in Tuvalkane’s forge.
Gather the required materials
Each Pact needs specific resources; check the full list in Tuvalkane’s crafting menu.
Pact Crafting & Faction Requirements
First, recruit Tuvalkane via a short Ancestors quest to enable crafting for Pacts, weapons, armor, and totems. Starter Pacts align with the virtues Spirit, Courage, and Grace. Advanced Pacts usually require faction Rank 5 and Bond 3 to craft.
How to Get Pact Recipes
Easy unlocks (Quest-based) Garren Rood (via The Torment Stag) and Orengall (via The Shewolf Snared) are obtained by progressing quests in the overworld; craft them at Tuvalkane (Bond 3).
Starter Pacts (Tethren, Oscelda, Sirin)
If you want a different starter than the one you chose, you must switch factions, build reputation, and unlock its rewards. (Faction changes typically have a cooldown, so plan your grind.)
Advanced Pacts (Ode Tempest, Mora’s Hand, etc.)
These are purchased from faction vendors at about Rank 5 (e.g., Ode Tempest and Mora’s Hand), then crafted with Bond 3 at Tuvalkane.
💡 Pro tip: To speed things up, team up with other players and focus on Level 3 Faction Tales in high-level zones (north/east). They grant strong faction standing and plenty of materials.
How to Farm Crafting Materials
The best sources for Pact materials are Faction Tales, the Crypt, and thorough overworld looting. To avoid separate grind sessions later, loot everything during runs:
Open common, shiny, and lustrous chests (rare ones have a flower emblem).
Pick up enemy loot bags.
Break crates and barrels; check weapon racks.
Rare Resources to Watch
Gossamer Quartz & Sappheline: Drop from rare golden chests and are efficiently farmed in the Crypt.
River Pearls: Harvest along riverbanks in the overworld; also found in chests.
Avakot’s Gots (merchant): Sells a rotating stock of crafting resources; check back regularly.
Yes, looting everything makes missions longer—but it saves you time later by preventing separate material grinds. Combine Faction Tales with Crypt runs for a balanced path to every Pact.
Summary: To unlock new Soulframe Pacts, enable the forge with Tuvalkane (Bond 3), obtain the appropriate recipe (quests or faction Rank 5 vendors), and gather materials. Consistent Faction Tales and smart looting are the fastest way to expand your lineup of classes.

Closed Beta Available Since August
The closed beta started on August 22, with progressive access depending on server capacity. Codes are being distributed in waves to prevent overload and give developers the chance to fine-tune the game before its official release.
Mobile Optimization and Cross-Platform Play
One of the most important features is its cross-platform compatibility. The mobile version has been designed with an optimized touchscreen interface while maintaining graphical quality and immersion. This allows friends playing on mobile to join those on PC, exploring the world of Regnus together without limitations.
The crossplay system is aimed at delivering a full MMORPG experience, appealing both to veterans of the genre and newcomers.
Pre-Registration Open and Rising Expectations
Since the official announcement, pre-registration has been available, raising expectations among fans closely following the project. After the cancellation of earlier attempts, community enthusiasm is reflected in the strong demand for early access.

Diverse classes and playstyles with deep customization.
Exploration of vast environments, designed for group adventures.
Its anime-inspired art direction makes it stand out from other current MMORPGs, while the technology behind it ensures smooth gameplay across all devices. With this, Bokura aims to combine the best of classic MMORPGs with the accessibility of modern platforms.

One of the most innovative features will be the introduction of a seasonal content system, offering limited-time exclusive missions that directly impact the persistent world, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving experience.
Next-Generation Graphics

What was once known only as Project LLL now has an official name: Cinder City. The new title from NCsoft and its studio BigFire Games aims to carve out a new path in the industry by combining the scale of a massive open world with the intensity of a tactical third-person shooter.
With a global release scheduled for 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the game will drop players into a post-apocalyptic Seoul devastated by an alien invasion and a cataclysmic event that fractured history, causing different timelines to collide.
A World Where Timelines Collide
The narrative of Cinder City presents a universe where three distinct eras coexist within a single chaotic reality:
The 10th-century Byzantine Empire
21st-century modern-day Seoul
A hyper-advanced 23rd century
This “time-blended” setting creates a unique landscape where ancient architecture, modern landmarks, and futuristic technology coexist in the same devastated environment. The title itself, Cinder City, symbolizes that spark of hope that endures amidst humanity’s ruins.
The developers revealed that they drew inspiration from major science-fiction works such as Isaac Asimov (Foundation), Frank Herbert (Dune), and Philip K. Dick (Blade Runner, The Man in the High Castle) to build the game’s lore and themes.
Cinder City seeks to establish a “new genre” by blending three styles of gameplay:
A massive open world: built with Unreal Engine 5, featuring a seamless map of over 30 km² without loading screens, where encounters are procedurally generated based on player actions, moving beyond the static quests of traditional MMOs.
Tactical third-person shooter: core gameplay emphasizes realistic gunplay and movement, enhanced by customizable combat suits with futuristic abilities such as active camouflage, jump jets, deployable healing fields, and energy barriers. Stealth and strategy play a key role, with drones available to scout and plan attacks.
Vehicles and mech combat: one of the game’s standout features is the ability to pilot vehicles and heavily armed mechs, similar to Titanfall. This enables large-scale, asymmetric warfare where infantry, light vehicles, and mechs clash dynamically.
Instead of a traditional character creator, players will select from a roster of predefined heroes, each with their own established backstory and motivations, reinforcing the game’s focus on narrative-driven storytelling.
NCsoft’s Next Big Project
With its genre-blending gameplay and a high-concept sci-fi world, Cinder City is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects of 2026 and a potential new benchmark for MMO shooters.

Inspired by the classic Korean novel The Tale of Jeong Woochi, the plot presents an entirely original narrative. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, the game promises dynamic combat, vibrant visuals, creatures inspired by Korean folklore, and a soundtrack composed by Jung Jae-il, known for his work on the film Parasite and the series Squid Game.
“Woochi the Wayfarer will deliver an innovative and unique experience based on traditional Korean elements, but with an emotional resonance that players around the world can relate to,” said Park Young-hyun, CEO of Nexon Games. “We aim to create a captivating story that fully showcases our capabilities and development expertise, appealing to players from all cultures.”
To bring the project to life, the team is working with experts in traditional Korean literature and music. In order to faithfully recreate the Joseon era, the developers have also explored natural landscapes and visited cultural heritage sites across Korea.
The reveal trailer offers a first look at the gameplay, showcasing an intense battle between Woochi and a mysterious shaman named Myoan.

The delay follows the outcome of the closed global beta held in June 2025. While the game was praised for its world-building, artistic direction, and combat mechanics, several critical areas for improvement were also identified. These include client optimization, overall usability, and technical performance.
Han Sang-woo, CEO of Kakao Games, explained that the high level of public interest, particularly from Western audiences, has raised the bar for the development team:
“If we can meet the quality expectations of our players, the chances for long-term success will be much higher.”
Chrono Studio, the game’s developer, is already working on a broad range of improvements that will include adjustments to gameplay, class balance, open-world design, accessibility, and performance. The goal is clear: to deliver an experience worthy of the excitement the community has shown so far.
Although the delay may disappoint some fans, the decision aims to ensure a more polished and complete launch, aligned with the growing expectations surrounding this ambitious MMORPG.
One of Krafton’s most iconic titles, TERA, officially has a sequel in development.
According to multiple sources, Krafton has formed a new team within Bluehole Studio’s R&D Division with the specific purpose of working on TERA 2. This unit operates under the leadership of CEO Cho Doo-in and is led by veteran developer Kang Sang-wook, known internally as Bluehole’s “first employee” after its founding members.
Kang began his career at NCSoft before joining Bluehole, where he became a key developer on the original TERA. He even sent an email to Chairman Chang Byung-gyu expressing his desire to create games he genuinely enjoyed and that would resonate with players like him—a sentiment later quoted in the book The Krafton Way.
Following the massive success of PUBG: Battlegrounds, Kang took on several roles within the company, including contributing to Project Cowboy, and more recently as an instructor in Krafton’s internal developer training program, known as “Jungle”, where he mentored the next generation of in-house talent.
The development of TERA 2 is still in a very early stage, with a small team of about four people. Early indications suggest the game will remain an action-based MMORPG, much like its predecessor, featuring real-time combat without auto-targeting systems.
The original TERA launched in January 2011 and stood out as one of the first Korean MMORPGs to popularize non-targeting combat. Praised for its stunning visuals and dynamic battles, the game officially shut down its Korean servers on June 30, 2022, after eleven years of service—leaving many fans disappointed.
Chairman Chang Byung-gyu has consistently shown interest in the MMORPG genre, with titles like TERA and Elyon. Now, with no current flagship MMORPG in Krafton’s lineup, all eyes are on Kang Sang-wook and the newly formed TERA 2 team.
After its announcement, Unending Dawn quickly caught players’ attention thanks to its anime-inspired art style and soulslike combat system. However, since then, the project has remained largely under wraps. During the ChinaJoy 2025 expo, a journalist from the Korean outlet Inven had the chance to try out a demo version of the game and shared his first impressions in a review highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of the title.
A unique and challenging combat system
The core of Unending Dawn‘s combat lies in a unique Stagger Gauge mechanic, which affects both enemies and the player. This gauge fills up when blocking or taking damage, and once it maxes out, the affected target becomes stunned and vulnerable. The main goal is to stagger enemies while avoiding being staggered yourself.
The game promotes an active defensive style, rewarding well-timed parries and dodge rolls over standard blocking, which fills the stagger gauge quickly. The journalist noted that the parry timing is more generous compared to other games in the genre, making the system more accessible without sacrificing depth.
To keep battles intense, enemies also perform unblockable attacks highlighted in red. These can’t be parried and must be avoided through timely dodges. This constant switching between parrying and dodging creates a dynamic and strategic combat rhythm.
Two protagonists, more options
One of Unending Dawn‘s most distinctive features is its character switch system. Players control two heroines: a young swordswoman with a balanced combat style, and a mature lancer who hits harder but is less agile. Both have unique skills and ultimate attacks that bring flash and variety to battles.
This switching mechanic also acts as a kind of second chance: if one heroine falls in battle, the other instantly takes her place. This helps reduce frustration from small mistakes often punished harshly in soulslike games. Moreover, switching characters at key moments enables special combo attacks to finish off weakened enemies, adding flair and tactical depth to the action.
Great potential, held back by technical flaws
Despite its strong mechanics, the Inven journalist pointed out several issues. The most notable is the game’s lackluster visuals, featuring outdated graphics and a visual style that struggles to stand out—even when compared to current mobile titles.
He also criticized the character animations, describing them as stiff and unnatural. In a game where fluid combat is crucial for immersion, these awkward movements are a serious drawback.
A concept with potential, but in need of polish
In conclusion, the journalist believes that Unending Dawn is a game with promising ideas and innovative combat, but currently suffers from limited technical execution. It’s especially disappointing considering the game is part of Sony’s China Hero Project, which aims to support promising developers in the region.
However, the review ends on a hopeful note: there’s still time for improvement. If the developers manage to refine the game’s visuals and animations, Unending Dawn could become an unexpected gem in the genre.
NCSOFT has confirmed that the second official livestream for AION 2, its ambitious cross-platform MMORPG, will take place on August 8 at 11:00 UTC. The event will be broadcast live via the game’s official YouTube channel and will feature the development team showcasing key features such as the “Fire Temple” dungeon and the highly anticipated real-time character editor.
Before the event, producer Kim Nam-joon shared a video message thanking the community for the overwhelming enthusiasm during the first livestream. According to Kim, the feedback exceeded all expectations and further motivated the team to deliver a game worthy of the fans’ trust.
One of the highlights was the confirmation that the previous trailer was not a pre-rendered cinematic, but actual in-game footage captured directly from the client. “Our goal is to make AION 2 one of the most visually impressive MMORPGs,” said Kim, emphasizing the detail in characters, environments, skies, and visual effects.
Regarding character design, Kim explained that the art team aimed to blend Eastern and Western styles, creating diverse and appealing looks for both male and female characters. “We didn’t know which style you’d prefer, so we made them all,” he joked.
The upcoming livestream will also feature the real-time character customization system, one of the most anticipated features, intended to eliminate any doubts about the game’s visual quality.
Finally, Kim nostalgically recalled memorable moments from the original AION, such as portal PvP battles, large-scale fights, and the thrill of traversing dimensions. He promised these feelings will return in AION 2, reimagined for a modern and accessible experience.
With each new reveal, AION 2 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious releases in NCSOFT’s recent history. Don’t miss the August 8 livestream, where a brand-new side of this highly anticipated MMORPG will be unveiled.
Bellatores, the new MMORPG developed by South Korean studio Nyou, officially began its first closed beta (CBT) this Wednesday (30). In a market dominated by mobile games and cross-platform experiences, this title aims to revive the classic MMORPG formula, being developed exclusively for PC since the very beginning.
The project stands out for going against current trends by prioritizing depth and fidelity to traditional MMORPG systems.
Unlike conventional MMOs, Bellatores uses a weapon mastery-based progression system, allowing players to freely shape their combat style. There are 12 weapons available, including swords, spears, and staffs, which can be swapped in real-time during battles. As each weapon is used, it unlocks unique abilities, increasing the tactical complexity of the combat system.
The game also features “Vision Skills”, special techniques obtained via drops that grant mobility and strategic utility. The attribute system is designed to affect both combat and gathering and crafting activities, encouraging player versatility.
The world of Bellatores is fully seamless—with no loading screens—and inspired by 16th-century Europe. There are no traditional dungeons; instead, bosses and events appear directly in the open field, promoting a natural exploration experience. Progression is based on crafting equipment from gathered materials rather than direct monster loot.
Although this closed beta currently supports only the Korean language, over 50% of registered players are from outside Korea, demonstrating the global interest that Bellatores is generating.
Netmarble has released the first part of a Q&A session about The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, its upcoming open-world action RPG. In this first episode, KPD from the development team answered three key questions related to the multiplayer mode.
What multiplayer features will be available?
One of the key aspects of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is the ability to play in multiplayer mode. While exploring the world solo is exciting, doing so with friends offers a unique and immersive experience.
Players will be able to form parties and explore the world together. The game will also include cooperative PvE content such as challenging dungeons and boss battles that emphasize teamwork.
Additionally, casual cooperative minigames are being developed for a more relaxed experience. Whether you’re looking for a challenge or some laid-back fun, multiplayer will be an excellent option.
Will there be community features?
Yes. A Knights Order system will be implemented, allowing players to create or join an Order to embark on adventures together. A guild base and exclusive content are planned to encourage social interaction.
Is multiplayer mandatory?
No. The game is fully designed to be enjoyed solo. Multiplayer content is optional and meant to enhance the single-player experience, not replace it.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is scheduled to release in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
In 2022, Amazon confirmed it had greenlit a television series based on Sony’s acclaimed God of War franchise, set to premiere on Prime Video. However, after that initial announcement, the project entered a very slow development phase, as the scripts required major revisions.
Now, during San Diego Comic-Con, new details about the project were revealed. In an interview with Collider, showrunner Ronald D. Moore explained that the scripts are still being worked on, but confirmed that Cory Barlog, director of the 2018 God of War game, has joined the team to help define the show’s narrative direction.
The TV adaptation will focus on the most recent entries in the franchise: God of War (2018) and Ragnarök (2022). Since both titles already have strong cinematic and story-driven elements, the show aims to retell that narrative for a broader audience—similar to the approach taken with The Last of Us—though significant changes to certain events are not off the table.
There is currently no release date or trailer available. Filming is expected to begin sometime in 2026, and at least two seasons of 10 episodes each are already planned.
Netmarble has confirmed that its highly anticipated open-world action game The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will be showcased during the Opening Night Live 2025, the kickoff event of gamescom, one of the world’s largest gaming expos.
The presentation is scheduled for August 20 and will mark the game’s first official international appearance since its showing at the Summer Game Fest 2025 in June.
During the event, the developers will unveil a new trailer featuring never-before-seen footage, and speculation suggests that Netmarble might take the opportunity to announce key updates ahead of the game’s global release planned for 2025.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is based on the popular manga The Seven Deadly Sins and serves as a narrative sequel to Grand Cross, the hit mobile RPG. In this new installment, players will journey across Britannia as Tristan, the son of the iconic Meliodas and Elizabeth.
The title promises a deep combat system, a variety of activities, and an extensive roster of heroes not only from the main manga, but also from the spin-off The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
With its open-world gameplay and anime-inspired visuals, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is shaping up to be one of the most exciting RPG releases of the year for fans of the genre and the universe created by Nakaba Suzuki.

Experience a new realm of suffering in this story-driven survival horror action game
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games are proud to announce Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, a brand-new single-player survival horror action game set in the terrifying universe of one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time.
This first official Hellraiser video game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam), and will pit players face-to-face against the legendary Pinhead, once again portrayed by Doug Bradley after almost two decades.
“Working on the first true Hellraiser game has been a deep dive into the darkest corners of my imagination,” said Clive Barker, horror legend and creator of Hellraiser, who has guided the game’s unique narrative. “The dedication shown by Saber and Boss Team Games is truly remarkable. They have immersed themselves in the Hellraiser universe, capturing its essence—the seductive allure of suffering, the beauty in the grotesque—and have crafted a story that beckons players to cross that threshold. I eagerly anticipate both the curious and the damned experiencing this new chapter in the Hellraiser saga, where every moment balances on the edge between nightmare and revelation.”
“Hellraiser is the ultimate horror franchise and perfectly suited for a video game,” said Matthew Karch, CEO and co-founder of Saber Interactive. “Saber has a history of success with horror licenses, and collaborating with Clive to create tense gameplay and a story that delves into the twisted depths of pain and pleasure has been a true delight. We can’t wait to open the gates of Hell.”
In Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, players will take on the role of Aidan, who must unlock the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box, to rescue his girlfriend from an infernal abyss. Combine the box’s hellish abilities with an arsenal of earthly weapons to survive your pact with the sinister Pinhead and confront the twisted cult that worships him alongside the Cenobites. Fail, and your suffering will become legend… even in Hell.
Key Features
A chilling story set in the Hellraiser universe: Accidentally trigger Pinhead’s ritual (voiced by Doug Bradley) to unleash the ultimate torment upon the world.
Unleash the power of the box: Use the unique abilities of the Genesis Configuration alongside lethal weapons to inflict agonizing (or pleasurable?) pain on your enemies.
Fight for your survival against the armies of Hell: Battle marauders, deviants, cultists, and infernal priests in a profane war for your immortal soul.
Availability & Collector’s Editions
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is now available to wishlist on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, Boss Team Games will offer two special collector’s editions featuring exclusive items: a Hellraiser Puzzle Box replica with in-game inspired lighting effects, a special Hellraiser statue for display, and other licensed collectibles. One of the most anticipated innovations will be the addition of a new weapon: the Orb. This ranged magical weapon can heal allies and apply protective shields that reduce incoming damage.
Its distinctive feature will be its independence from mana, but players will need to manage the balance of the orbs carefully.
There will be a 24 vs. 24 battlefield in a new arena with a Conquest mode. Both solo players and pre-made teams of up to six can participate. Rewards have not been disclosed, but valuable items that impact character progression are expected.
They will introduce the long-awaited personal housing feature, which you can customize to your liking. To unlock it, you’ll need to complete a series of quests that introduce this functionality. Additionally, the team indicated that players will be able to own multiple houses at once.
The resource gathering system will receive gathering levels and new material types.
The list of craftable items will be expanded, and a new profession will allow you to create furniture for your home.
There will be a new achievement system that touches almost every game activity and, in some cases, requires replaying past content. Rewards will include cosmetic items and useful resources.
Dimensional Trial will move away from the seasonal system in favor of weekly leaderboards, allowing players to earn more rewards than before, while monster and player affixes ensure variety across all difficulty levels.
Updated systems for new and veteran players will help them catch up quickly to most active players. Publisher Amazon Games plans to launch a HyperBoost server for new characters and bonuses for new players on veteran servers.
An update to the Guardian system, announced in September 2024 and repeatedly postponed, will finally arrive.
There will be more opportunities for character progression.

The highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things drops an impressive trailer that teases an epic conclusion. Split into three parts between November 2025 and January 2026, this installment promises to ramp up the tension as Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) becomes Vecna’s primary target — the villain who wreaked havoc last season.
With the bond between humanity and the Upside Down weakening with each step, the preview makes it clear that the final battle will reach unprecedented heights.
The Call of Destiny
In the trailer, Max awakens from a comatose state following her last confrontation with Vecna at the end of season four. But far from safe, she soon finds herself surrounded by ominous creatures led by Sulamith, the deadliest of their kind. The only immediate support comes from Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), who must protect her while awaiting the rest of the group’s arrival.

The return of essential figures like Eleven and Jim Hopper strengthens the ranks of the heroes. Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reprise their roles, reclaiming the courage and powers that made them icons of the resistance against the Upside Down. They’re joined by veteran cast members —Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, and more— alongside promising new additions like Linda Hamilton, whose casting has sparked great excitement.
An Uncertain Horizon
Hawkins, the epicenter of the supernatural phenomena, begins to crumble under the shadow of a final Upside Down invasion. With their community on the brink of collapse, the protagonists must use intelligence, ancient magic, and bonds of friendship forged over a decade to close the cycle that began in 2016. The thin line between reality and the inverted world threatens to disappear completely.

Crafting an ending that lives up to the expectations of millions of fans is an unprecedented challenge: every plot twist and character sacrifice will define how this television phenomenon that revolutionized pop culture will be remembered.

CI Games celebrates surpassing 5.5 million players in Lords of the Fallen, but optimism clashes with harsh reality: according to CEO Marek Tyminski, the title still fails to generate enough profit to cover the high costs of development and post-launch support.
Profitability Still Elusive
Despite its growing user base, Lords of the Fallen has been unable to translate that success into a positive cash flow. The ongoing expense of updating the game, fixing bugs and adding content—especially after the major 2.0 update—has eaten into net revenues, forcing CI Games to reinvest much of what it earns.
Reinvestment and Pricing Adjustments
Since its full-price launch, the studio has implemented multiple discounts and special offers, as well as including the game on services like Game Pass to maximize reach. These strategies expanded the community but lowered the average sale price, which, combined with high marketing and distribution costs, complicates the profitability equation.
Cuts and Contradictions
At the same time, CI Games announced staff layoffs in some areas, just before reporting strong financial results in its tools and special editions divisions. This contrast underscores the delicate balance between cost containment and maintaining the quality of a live product that requires ongoing support.
Lessons for the Future
The Lords of the Fallen experience highlights a growing dilemma in the industry: to what extent should developers sacrifice profit margins to sustain the relevance of their titles? The potential arrival of a sequel signals confidence in the franchise, but it also raises the need to rethink monetization models and resource management.
In an environment where funding costs are skyrocketing and margins are shrinking, the key will be to find a middle ground between creative ambition and financial viability, ensuring both innovation and long-term survival.
A few days ago it was announced that the Resident Evil saga would make the jump to smartphones, and that announcement has now materialized in Resident Evil Survival Unit, a strategy game that, while not the remake many were expecting, has captured the community’s attention. Now, Capcom has shared the official information about this promising title.
A strategic experience in a parallel universe
Resident Evil Survival Unit, developed by Joycity and Aniplex under Capcom’s supervision, is set in an alternate timeline with a completely original storyline. The game is scheduled for release at the end of this year and will offer real-time combat where every player decision will influence the course of the mission.
Leon, Claire and Jill at the forefront of the action
The three confirmed protagonists are franchise favorites: Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine. They will be joined by other classic characters who will appear throughout the campaign to form squads and face biological threats. Additionally, like any good mobile title, it will include a base-building system where players can manage resources and strengthen defenses.
Where to watch the trailer and what to expect next
If you’re already interested in checking it out, Capcom and the official Resident Evil accounts have released a trailer with the first look at the game. Beyond Survival Unit, fan attention is focused on Resident Evil Requiem, which will serve as the grand finale to 30 years of history. Mark your calendar for February 27, 2026, the date when Requiem will arrive on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series.
Get ready to command your survival unit and experience Resident Evil from a new perspective!
Today, July 11, arrives on Paramount+Dexter: Resurrection, the new installment of the saga that once again puts the famous antihero portrayed by Michael C. Hall under a moral microscope. Produced by Showtime Studios and with Clyde Phillips back as showrunner, this season promises to explore the darkest corners of Dexter Morgan’s mind and expand the series’ universe with unexpected twists.
The story kicks off just weeks after the shocking finale of Dexter: New Blood. After being shot by his son Harrison, Dexter awakens alone and disoriented in a New York hospital. Gripped by panic and remorse, he embarks on a dangerous search for Harrison, who has vanished without a trace. Meanwhile, Detective Angel Batista returns as a vigilante, determined to uncover his old friend’s whereabouts and confront his own demons in a city that never forgives mistakes.
Michael C. Hall has assured fans that this new chapter “is not meant to close the story, but to open an entirely new one” for Dexter. His statement reinforces the journey into more urban and psychological narrative territories, full of ethical dilemmas and confrontations where the line between good and evil shines with renewed intensity.
The cast reunites familiar faces and exciting new additions. David Zayas returns as Batista, Jimmy Smits reprises his role as Miguel Prado, and James Remar appears as Harry Morgan in haunting flashbacks. Joining them are stars like Peter Dinklage (Leon Prater), a mysterious millionaire obsessed with humanity’s darker side; Uma Thurman, who portrays Prater’s ruthless head of security; and Neil Patrick Harris in a yet-to-be-revealed role that promises tension and surprises. John Lithgow’s cameo as the Trinity Killer, manifesting as a hallucination in Dexter’s mind, is already one of the most talked-about moments among fans.
The first two episodes are now available, and beginning today, a new installment will premiere each week. Early footage and trailers showcase neon-lit New York City streets, rain-soaked chase scenes, and a pulse-pounding soundtrack that underscores every moment of danger.
With Dexter: Resurrection, Paramount+ delivers a thrilling blend of suspense, action, and the signature moral tension that made the character a television icon. As the hunt for Harrison intensifies and dark secrets surface, the series aims to captivate both longtime devotees and newcomers ready to explore the psyche of TV’s most charismatic predator. Don’t miss it tonight!
Next week, specifically on July 17, Shanghai Bokura Technology (a Tencent subsidiary) and publisher A Plus Japan will officially launch the highly anticipated Blue Protocol: Star Resonance in China, kicking off a storyline expected to reach players worldwide later this year.

Pan Studio announced that its highly anticipated anime-style action RPG, Duet Night Abyss, is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025—specifically between October and November. A more precise date will be announced in the coming weeks.
Pre-registration remains open on the official Duet Night Abyss website, where over 5 million players have already signed up. If registrations hit 10 million, all participants will receive the character Berenica for free.
Developed by Pan Studio and published by Hero Games, Duet Night Abyss fuses dark fantasy with sci-fi in a non-linear narrative offering deep world interaction. Set in Atlasia—a realm where magic and technology coexist and humans and demons must share space against an imminent threat—the player alternates between two protagonists, each with their own perspective and motivations, gradually uncovering an ancient destiny woven through the plot.
The combat system centers on weapon freedom: players can switch between whips and crossbows to high-tech sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and levitating armaments. Its 3D battle mechanics allow seamless melee and ranged attacks, aerial combos, and ground techniques. Exploration is equally fluid, featuring advanced movement abilities like double jumps, gliding, and wall runs.

In addition, this phase will feature two of the five Great Houses of Etheria and focus on validating key systems such as:
Combat Mechanics: no auto-targeting—success depends on precision, tactics, and teamwork.
Character Progression: flexible skill paths with no fixed classes, allowing seamless weapon-and-magic combinations.
Skill Leveling: balanced growth across different playstyles to empower healers, ranged fighters, and frontline warriors alike.
Bellatores transports players to a medieval-fantasy world torn by political strife. Built on Unreal Engine 5, its story begins with the death of King Henry, an event that shattered the realm and ignited conflict among the Great Houses of Etheria. The economy is fully player-driven, and an advanced diplomacy and siege system provides alternative paths to power—whether by sword or by intrigue.
With massive-scale battles, dynamic trade, and deep social interaction, Bellatores aims to redefine the MMORPG genre. Don’t miss your chance to be among the first to uncover its secrets—register now and prepare for the war for Etheria.
Chrono Odyssey, the anticipated MMORPG from Chrono Studio, concluded its closed beta on June 23 and now its creators have published a detailed report on their takeaways and the improvement plan they will implement before the next phase.
In the first part of their post-mortem, the team acknowledges that while many players enjoyed the core experience, combat responsiveness, animation quality, and hit timing fell short of expectations. To address this, they are:
Redesigning combat mechanics and refining hit feedback timing.
Separating movement and combat data into independent packets to optimize client–server communication.
Introducing a new weapon progression system called Matrix, enabling smoother and more meaningful gear advancement.
Camera and Control Fixes
Reports of inconsistent lock-on behavior and erratic camera collisions are being addressed with:
Tweaks to the lock-on mechanics for more accurate target tracking.
Fixes to environmental collisions to prevent “snapping” and cameras getting stuck on walls or objects.
Performance Optimization
To improve stability and reduce GPU and memory load, Chrono Studio will implement:
Asset rendering restructuring using Instanced Static Mesh systems and trim sheets to decrease texture redundancy.
Dynamic loading of collision data based on player proximity and line of sight, reducing overhead in distant scenes.
Graphics Update
On the visual front, improvements include:
Shader consolidation and a revamped lighting system.
Support for DLSS and FSR to boost framerate without sacrificing quality.
Enhancements to Temporal Super Resolution for a sharper and more stable image in motion.
What’s Coming in Part 2?
Chrono Studio previews that the next installment will cover:
UI/UX design and ergonomics.
Sound design and ambient effects.
Progression balance beyond weapons.
Server stability and scaling for the next test phase.
Although the team emphasizes their commitment to transparency and polish before moving forward, they acknowledge these adjustments may delay the planned late-2025 launch. As stated in their article: “We don’t plan on rushing ahead without first getting things right,” an approach many players will appreciate ahead of the official release.

In collaboration with Maxroll · IGN Staff On May 15, 2025, fans of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance received big news: A Plus will officially bring this anime-style MMORPG, developed by Shanghai Bokura Network Technology (a Tencent subsidiary), to the West before the end of the year. This announcement came right after the closed beta in China concluded and has set expectations soaring.
True to their “player-first” approach, Bokura’s creators offered the largest English-speaking fan hub, Star Resonance Database, the chance to pose questions directly to the team. Roy, Bokura’s founder and veteran MMO producer (Dragon Nest Mobile, Ragnarok Origin), answered the community’s hottest questions with complete honesty.
Question 1: Many MMOs try to target PvE, PvP, role-players, casual and hardcore audiences, sometimes losing focus. Who is Star Resonance primarily aimed at, and which content areas will you focus on initially?
Answer: Our team, myself included, are anime enthusiasts with years of MMO production experience. We dreamed of combining a distinctive anime aesthetic with deep MMO mechanics. We know it’s ambitious—few games satisfy both anime lovers and traditional MMO players. Therefore, our target audience is precisely those players who, like us, seek deep MMO experiences set in vibrant anime-style worlds.
Question 2: Monetization is a major concern for Western players compared to the Asian base. During the Chinese beta we spotted an unrestricted premium-symbol conversion system, similar to those criticized in Western MMOs. Do you plan to adjust it for Western audiences? What is your current approach?
Answer: As mentioned, our game uses a hybrid PvE and casual model, so we absolutely do not want a pay-to-win environment. We offer convenient payment options—like currency boosts—but none grant exclusive advantages. All progression items can be obtained through gameplay, and the Trading Hub ensures paid benefits indirectly help the community by circulating resources.
Question 3: Content is another critical factor. What type of vertical progression can casual and hardcore players expect in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance?
Answer: Combat and progression are the heart of the MMO experience, so we’ve designed systems for all player types. After extensive iteration, we created combat that’s easy to learn for newcomers but deep enough to challenge veterans. For hardcore players, we offer five-player dungeons, twenty-player raids, and high-risk encounters with unique rewards. Each season introduces new classes, bosses, and PvE modes to keep things fresh. For casual players, we built social spaces—housing, fishing, life skills, and seasonal events—designed for relaxed, shared enjoyment.
Question 4: Many MMOs tend to introduce more and more systems, raising the entry barrier and overwhelming the community. To avoid this, it’s simpler to expand existing mechanics than to add new ones. What is your design philosophy for future development?
Answer: We’re intentional about keeping progression systems agile. Our philosophy is “grow without overwhelm”: whether you’re new or returning after a break, you should jump back in effortlessly. We prefer deepening existing systems—adding fresh goals and twists—rather than piling on new mechanics. This keeps the game familiar yet exciting.
Question 5: Excessive grind can discourage players. How will you balance difficulty and offer optional content?
Answer: We’ll deliver seasonal updates that not only add new content but also refresh existing activities with thematic challenges, ensuring veterans always find something new. We’re also enhancing social features so grind can be shared in groups, and providing lower-intensity side quests for those who prefer a relaxed pace.
Question 6: The community loves dynamic, spontaneous events in other MMOs. Are you planning similar world events?
Answer: We love those organic events, but our current focus is polishing core gameplay. However, we’re actively evaluating emergent world events for future updates. Stay tuned!
Question 7: Many anime enthusiasts will join. Can we expect collaborations with anime franchises?
Answer: Absolutely! As an anime-inspired MMO, we’re aligned with anime and manga IPs. We’ll soon launch polls to gather your preferences, because we want partnerships that reflect what you love. Get your suggestions ready!
Question 8: Current gear trading and auction house features are limited. Do you plan to expand these?
Answer: We’ve maintained certain limits based on past experiences—unrestricted storage led to alt-farming. We want to encourage cooperation without incentivizing excessive secondary characters.
Question 9: The life-skill energy system penalizes players with only one character. How will you balance this?
Energy affects only trading convenience, not gathering or crafting, which are free.
We’ve expanded recipes so dedicated life-skill players won’t hit progression walls.
We’ve optimized the casual experience by reducing energy costs.
Question 10: The auto-combo feature raises concerns about trivializing combat and AFK farming. Will you adjust it?
Answer: Auto-combo and auto-pathing are intended to reduce mindless grind in low-difficulty zones only. We strictly regulate grind rewards to minimize AFK farming while preserving the core challenge.
Question 11: Will Western servers be region-locked or is a mega-server planned?
Answer: Many players requested a mega-server to unify the community. Though technically challenging, we’re actively working on a solution to deliver it if tests allow.
Question 12: Which languages will be supported at launch, and will more be added later?
Answer: At launch we’ll support English with Japanese voiceovers. We’re conducting localization QA now and can add more languages based on player feedback.
Question 13: Will a housing system be available at launch? What features will it include?
Answer: Good news for decoration enthusiasts: the housing system will be available from day one! Each player can claim a free island and home, invite up to four friends to join, and fully customize interiors and exteriors. It includes resource cultivation—sell crops for housing currency to purchase furniture and cosmetics—and some furniture can be crafted via life skills.
Question 14: The site shows the silhouette of a Guitarist class. Will more classes be added after launch, and how often?
Answer: Correct! The Guitarist class will be available at launch with DPS and support variants. We’ll add new classes periodically after launch—stay tuned for updates!
Question 15: You announced controller support. Does this mean you’re considering consoles or Steam Deck in the future?
Answer: We’ve implemented controller support for PC and are evaluating console and Steam Deck possibilities based on feedback and technical feasibility.
Question 16: Cosmetic options were limited in the Chinese beta. Will you expand customization for Western players?
Question 17: Will a character creator be available before launch so players can test freely?
Answer: We think it’s a great idea. We’ve developed an in-client character editor that, after testing, could be available in a pre-launch build.
Question 18: The community wants to test the game in the West ASAP. Can you share any dates for global tests or the Western launch?
Answer: We’re preparing the global beta after two successful Chinese tests. No exact dates yet, but announcements won’t be far off.
Question 19: Will there be more Q&A sessions and English-language live streams with subtitles?
Answer: Yes. We’ve scheduled developer talks for English audiences and plan live streams with subtitles. Stay tuned!
With these answers, Roy and the Bokura team show their commitment to listening to the community and delivering an MMORPG that’s balanced, accessible, and packed with content for both anime nostalgists and genre enthusiasts. The journey toward Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has just begun!
As everyone knows, the MMORPG Blue Protocol from Bandai Namco had its servers shut down some time ago. However, Shanghai Bokura Network Technology — a company owned by Tencent — has decided to give the game a second life under the name Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
Now, the project is about to debut in China and its developers are keeping the hype alive with new content… including the announcement of a closed beta!
Through the game’s official YouTube channel, the Shanghai Bokura team released a trailer teasing that a closed beta is coming very soon, though no specific date was given. The clip (embedded below) shows new gameplay footage and emphasizes that the closed tests will kick off shortly.
The launch in China is scheduled for July 17, and a global preregistration campaign is already live on the game’s official website. In addition, the MMORPG’s pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store are now online for wishlisting and notifications.
Although we only know the closed beta is “very soon,” all signs point to the developers meeting their goal of a global release in 2025, provided the game performs well in China. If the test is a hit with the Eastern audience, it will further energize efforts to launch Star Resonance worldwide.
In short, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is about to land in the hands of Chinese players and will arrive in the West soon after. It’s worth keeping an eye on future updates—this revival promises to be epic!
Today, South Korean studio Nyou has revealed new details about its upcoming PC MMORPG, Bellatores. Sign-ups for the Closed Beta Test (CBT) through Steam will open on July 8, and the test itself will run for five days, from July 30 to August 3.
In this test version, players will be able to choose from 2 of the 5 planned noble Houses, and the focus will be on core content such as combat, progression, and the skill system.
“Through this CBT, we aim to evaluate whether Bellatores delivers the gameplay experience we envision, in collaboration with the players. We plan to actively incorporate player feedback.”
In a previous interview, Nyou confirmed that Bellatores was originally being developed with Unreal Engine 4 and a tab-targeting combat system reminiscent of classic MMOs (EverQuest, World of Warcraft, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic). However, the game has taken a major turn: it now uses Unreal Engine 5 and features full action combat, with weapon swapping and stamina management as key elements in each encounter.
Mastery-Based Progression System
In the new developer diary, producer Lee Gi Baek reveals how the Mastery system will work:
Mastery-Based Progression
Instead of following fixed class paths or a linear leveling system, players will accumulate Mastery in different aspects (combat, survival, crafting) based on the weapons they use and the activities they undertake. As they reach certain Mastery milestones, they will unlock unique abilities or new combat styles, allowing them to experience different playstyles tailored to their acquired Masteries.
Crafting Mastery
Crafting efficiency, resource yields, and the chance to create rare items will depend on each player’s Crafting Mastery. Additionally, equipment will not drop as loot from monsters but will be obtained exclusively through crafting or trading with other players. The appearance and stats of crafted items will vary based on the creator’s Mastery, making crafting a core system for progression and community interaction.
Expert Mastery Cap
It will not be possible to master all Masteries to the highest level; each player will only be able to specialize in a limited number of them. This will encourage cooperation among users: to access all types of content, players will need to collaborate, promoting the social essence of an MMORPG.
This way, each character can be personalized with a unique identity based on their Masteries, affecting combat, survival, crafting, economic, and political activities. The goal is to avoid uniform content and instead allow each player to develop the role they prefer.
System Requirements
Minimum:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit (or newer)
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 80 GB available space on SSD
Recommended:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit (or newer)
Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Bellatores is scheduled to launch in 2026 in Russia, although Nyou is still seeking a publisher for the West. We will let you know as soon as that deal is confirmed.
Resident Evil Requiem begins to lift the veil of mystery that has surrounded it since its announcement at the Summer Game Fest. Although Capcom has been drip-feeding details, each new revelation only heightens the anticipation—especially after the title shattered several pre-order records before any gameplay was even shown.
A look into the past: protagonist and open world The most surprising of the recent leaks concerns the original development plans. At first, Requiem was not only going to feature a different protagonist than the one we’ll see in the final release, but its initial concept envisioned an online open-world game.
As director Koshi Nakanishi confirmed in a new behind-the-scenes preview, the team explored a multiplayer-focused design following the success of Resident Evil 7, the remakes and Village. However, they soon realized this approach didn’t match what the community wants: players still crave the claustrophobic tension and pacing that define the series.
“We experimented with an online open-world Resident Evil, but by late 2021 we decided to completely restart the project,” Nakanishi explains. “We didn’t want to stray fans from the essence they value so much.”
The reboot that defines Requiem That full restart allowed the team to refine the narrative, redesign levels, and settle on the protagonist we’ll finally experience. While the new development video isn’t public yet, Capcom promises comprehensive details are coming soon.
Release date and Gamescom demo Resident Evil Requiem will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on February 27, 2026. Before its official release, attendees at Gamescom will be able to play an exclusive demo showcasing much of the game’s new gameplay and atmosphere.
In the meantime, keep an eye on Capcom’s official channels—and on our site—to catch every update on Requiem. The nightmare is about to begin!
On June 28 and 29, 2025, NCSoft held the first Focus Group Test (FGT) of Aion 2 at its R&D center in Pangyo, South Korea. Despite a strict confidentiality agreement (NDA), impressions have started to leak, with several testers ranking this test above other recent betas.
The information comes from trusted community sources, KakaoTalk groups, and participant videos. Although subjective and limited by the NDA, it offers a detailed look at a game nearly ready for global launch.
Monetization and P2W
Cosmetics shop: Outfits, wing skins, and mounts purely aesthetic.
Wings: Forged through grinding; minimal upgrades, different types affect flight power.
Instant revive: Option for instant revival in dungeons and the Abyss using diamonds (premium currency).
Action points: Energy system for dungeon runs; players can buy extra points with diamonds for additional attempts.
Gacha / Loot Boxes: “Minimized” according to devs; present but without causing obvious player disparities.
CLARIFICATION: The “2 trillion won” figure refers to the total revenue of the Aion IP, not exclusively Aion 2.
Customization and Skins
The character creator scored 5/5 thanks to more than 200 options for facial features, body and accessories. However, the quality of the leaked outfits was deemed subpar, marking a key area for improvement before launch.
Gameplay, UI and Combat
UI: Very similar to Throne and Liberty, with a customizable HUD and a 10-slot skill panel.
Skill slots: 8 core slots (4 main, 4 “Stigma”), plus linked skills and dynamic dodge.
Camera modes:
Action mode: Over-the-shoulder camera for PvE—immersive but limited visibility in RvR.
Classic mode: Target-locking and traditional click, recommended for PvP and large-scale battles.
Combat system: Blends action and classic; testers said it felt smooth in PvE but needs tweaks for PvP.
Group roles: The classic trinity returns—Tank, Healer and DPS—crucial in hard-mode dungeons with 4-player teams.
World and Progression
Aion 2’s world is 36 times larger than the original, featuring timed events, global quests and an auto-pathing system. Flight is enabled in all zones, though some testers reported confusion when using it to escape enemies.
Gear and Enhancement
Gear drops: From dungeon bosses and open-world monsters.
Trading: P2P and marketplace; items become untradable once equipped.
Enhancements: Require many enhancement stones (frequent drops); sockets can be added and stats modified.
Technical Aspects and Other Info
Performance: Tested on RTX 5070 PCs; optimized for RTX 2070, with brief frame drops during map transitions.
Talent tree: Extensive, with points earned by completing content.
RvR: Combines mechanics from Aion 1, TL and Blade & Soul; global bosses trigger faction-wide battles.
Testers Q&A
Build tested: Three months old.
Content tested: Leveling to 28 in 4 hours, 2–3 dungeons and RvR.
1v1/Arenas: 1v1 available; potential 4v4.
Open-world duels: No; races on separate servers, encounters only in the Abyss and dungeons.
Next tests: Adjustments in July; a new FGT likely in August or September.
Final impression: Testers remain optimistic about Aion 2 after disappointments with other MMORPGs.

Publisher Perfect World Games and developer Hotta Studio have announced a new closed beta for Neverness to Everness on PC, running from July 3 to 16. In a special livestream last Sunday, the team showcased multiple features coming to this supernatural open-world urban RPG.
The headline addition is a “vehicle requisition” system that lets players take control of any car in the city. Doing so triggers wanted levels reminiscent of GTA, adding tension and dynamism to exploration.
Online races get major upgrades too, letting you challenge friends or face rival street gangs across Hethereau. Matchmaking and AI have been retuned to deliver fairer, more intense contests.
The update also debuts a new weather system: real-time snow rendered with physically based shading (PBR) and subsurface scattering, making every flake look authentic and breathing extra life into the Unreal Engine 5 metropolis.
NTE is still in development for PC, consoles and mobile. For details or to sign up, visit the game’s official website.
Key update points
Vehicle requisition: commandeer any car and survive escalating wanted levels.
Enhanced online races: compete with friends and rival gangs across Hethereau.

Riot Games announced that Hytale, the promising procedurally generated sandbox adventure inspired by Minecraft, has been cancelled, and its team, Hypixel Studios, will be dissolved. The move ends a project that began in 2015 and had already suffered delays since Riot acquired the studio in 2020.
The game aimed to blend free-form building, mini-games, RPG-style combat, raids against bosses and a robust modding toolkit with custom servers. However, its technical ambition led to challenges that even a complete engine switch in 2022 failed to solve.
Aaron “Noxy” Donaghey, CEO of Hypixel Studios, said: “We tried rebooting the project several times and reorganising production, but progress remained insufficient. The game needed more time and resources than we could secure without compromising the original vision.”
As a result, about 150 employees will lose their jobs; Riot has offered severance packages and career-transition assistance. The popular Hypixel Server for Minecraft, run by a separate team, will continue operating normally.
For now, Riot Games has not revealed whether it will reuse Hytale’s technology or ideas in future projects. What’s certain is that the community is bidding farewell to one of the most anticipated indie titles of the last decade.
Key points behind Hytale’s cancellation
Community origin (2015): born as an expansion of the Hypixel Minecraft server.
Acquisition by Riot (2020): brought funding and raised quality expectations.
Engine reboot (2022): forced much of the code to be rewritten and delayed launch indefinitely.
Technical hurdles: large-scale procedural generation and massive multiplayer complicated development.
Final shutdown (23 June 2025): Riot cancels the game and dissolves the studio after weighing costs and timelines.
If you were looking forward to Hytale, its adventure ends here—unless Riot salvages parts of its legacy in future titles.
Lost Ark Mobile took center stage at Vision Preview PLAY, a hands-on showcase held in Seoul on June 19-20. Journalists, streamers and fans tested multiple game modes, chatted with the dev team and left with plenty of merch.
Smilegate RPG set up 190+ demo stations across three builds—mobile, PC and Steam Deck—letting visitors hop from touch controls to a gamepad or keyboard with zero hiccups.
UE5 visuals and AI mercenaries keep the party rolling
Korean media praised the move to Unreal Engine 5, which looks stellar even on small screens. They also highlighted the new AI-controlled mercenaries that fill empty party slots on the fly.
Optional auto-battle: convenience or liability?
The mobile version ships with an optional auto-battle system. Some reporters loved the grind-buster, while others insist manual control still rules against bosses. Community opinion is split—where do you stand?

Chrono Odyssey enters a crucial phase of its development with the launch of its highly anticipated closed beta from June 20 to 22, 2025, exclusively on PC via Steam.
During this 72-hour testing period, players will gain access to a section of the world of Setera, where they will face hostile creatures, take part in dynamic events, and experience one of the most innovative combat systems the MMORPG genre has to offer.
Three Classes Available to Play
The beta allows players to choose from three starting classes: the Swordsman, the Ranger, and the Berserker. Each class offers its own unique weapons and abilities, opening up diverse playstyles.
Swordsman: Balanced in speed, defense, and offense. Can equip sword and shield, dual swords, or a greatsword.
Ranger: Specialist in ranged attacks and agility. Uses bow, crossbow, and rapier for close combat.
Berserker: A pure chaos class. Wields dual axes, chained blades, and a massive war axe.
Setera Exploration & Time-Bending Combat
The beta map focuses on an initial region of Setera. Players will confront temporal rifts and dangerous enemies while testing out time-manipulating skills such as rewinding time, freezing enemies, or executing chained combos.
The game features co-op combat, open-world exploration, world bosses, and a progression system based on talents divided by colors (red, blue, neutral) to unlock active, passive, and synergy effects.
Requirements & How to Join
The beta is region-free. Just register on the Steam page for a chance to be selected. Choosing the closest server (America, Europe, or Asia) is recommended for optimal performance.
More than one million players have already signed up, highlighting the massive interest in this Unreal Engine 5-powered MMORPG.
South Korean game developer Wemade has launched the official teaser site for the global version of its MMORPG Legend of YMIR, with a release scheduled for the second half of 2025. Although the website currently features limited information, the publisher has stated that more updates will be shared over time, encouraging users to subscribe to the newsletter to stay informed.
While the full list of supported languages has not yet been announced, there’s a strong chance the game will receive full Russian localization, similar to what was done for Night Crows.
One of the key features of the global version of Legend of YMIR is its integration of blockchain technology. The game will introduce a unique tokenomics system, where crafting and upgrading resources are limited, and rare items exist as NFI (non-fakeable items, similar to NFTs). The game is promoted under the slogan “PLAY YMIR, EARN WEMIX“, allowing players to earn WEMIX digital assets directly through gameplay.

NPIXEL has unveiled new gameplay elements from its highly anticipated MMORPG Chrono Odyssey, offering players a deeper look into three key systems: co-op dungeons, time portals, and Eden, an endless dungeon created for the most hardcore adventurers.
Cooperative dungeons are central to the game’s PvE experience. Each dungeon features distinct themes – from ancient ruins to mystic, time-warped realms – and requires players to work together through puzzles, environmental traps, and tactical boss fights.
Players will need to destroy specific parts of bosses, interact with the surroundings, or even mount massive creatures to defeat them. What makes these dungeons stand out is the synergy system, where players can synchronize their skills to unleash powerful combo attacks or effects. The structure is also nonlinear: dungeons evolve in real-time, unlocking new branches and dynamic events based on team performance.

Another standout feature is the time portal system, which allows players to travel between alternate versions of the world of Satara — either in the past or future. While terrain might appear familiar, enemy types, loot, events, and world states drastically change. These temporal shifts offer access to rare monsters, exclusive materials, and hidden lore fragments that can only be found in specific timelines. Some portals also lead to unique quests or interactions with NPCs from parallel realities, adding layers of narrative complexity and exploration potential.
Lastly, Chrono Odyssey introduces Eden, an infinite dungeon hidden beneath the world’s surface. Eden is unlike any standard dungeon: it enforces inventory limitations, skill restrictions, and increasing difficulty with each level. The deeper players go, the more punishing the encounters become. And there’s a twist – death has consequences. Failing to escape in time may result in losing valuable loot or even progress. There is no final boss or endpoint. Instead, Eden is a survival mode meant to challenge even the most elite players. It can be tackled in teams or solo, though the latter raises the stakes considerably.
These new systems solidify Chrono Odyssey as more than just a visually stunning MMO. It’s a game focused on depth, risk, and replayability, aiming to captivate both casual players and veteran raiders. While there’s no official launch date yet, these reveals have significantly raised the bar — and the anticipation.
The MMORPG The Starlight, developed by Com2uS, is getting ready for a full reveal to a broader audience. On June 16, an online presentation will be streamed on the game’s official YouTube channel, featuring key developers of the project. New materials will be shown and the core concept behind the game will be discussed in detail.
Unlike standard trailers or promotional videos, the presentation will include live appearances from major team members, such as director and writer Jeong Sung-hwan, art director Jung Joon-ho, and sound director Nam Gu-min. During yesterday’s State of Play livestream, KONAMI revealed a new gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the highly anticipated remake of the legendary stealth-action game. The footage highlights Snake’s stealth mechanics, disguise options, and intense boss battles. It also teases the return of the fan-favorite Snake vs Monkey minigame, which will be available on PC and PlayStation 5.
After years of speculation, the remake was officially announced in May 2023. It’s being co-developed by Virtuos, a studio that also worked on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Bethesda.
The developers confirmed that the story will remain faithful to the original, while the controls have been updated for modern players. Users can choose between a newly designed intuitive control scheme or the original setup for a nostalgic experience.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, this remake brings a massive visual upgrade. Characters are rendered with extreme detail, including facial wrinkles, pores, and subtle eye movements, resulting in highly expressive facial animations.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches on August 28, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Here are the official PC requirements from the Steam page:
At the recent State of Play event, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja officially announced Nioh 3, the next entry in the dark fantasy soulslike action series set during Japan’s war-torn Sengoku period. Along with the reveal, a free time-limited demo of Nioh 3 is now available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Nioh 3 follows a young warrior destined to become the next Shogun. While details about his motivations remain under wraps, it has been confirmed that players will be able to fight using two distinct styles: Samurai and Ninja.
The Samurai style delivers a traditional experience, akin to previous Nioh titles. It introduces new mechanics like Art Mastery, which boosts martial arts power, and Reflection, allowing players to block enemy strikes at the last second for intense, deadly face-offs.

The Ninja style focuses on fast, agile moves, including dodges and aerial attacks. Players can use techniques like Mist, which leaves a clone behind after being struck, and Evasion, enabling narrow escapes. You can switch between both styles on the fly, adapting your combat to your preferred pace or the needs of the battlefield.
Nioh 3 also expands the world with more open environments, greater exploration freedom, and signature high-stakes encounters. Players will face terrifying yokai, explore eerie villages full of brutal secrets, and endure the harshest challenges within the Crucible.
Chrono Studio’s upcoming MMORPG Chrono Odyssey is about to launch its first closed beta test for PC, giving players a glimpse into its ambitious fantasy universe. The game will also be released on consoles at a later date.
A core gameplay innovation is the Chronotector, a unique tool that enables time manipulation—slowing down enemies or reversing changes in the environment. While somewhat restricted in PvP to maintain balance, it plays a crucial role in both strategy and mobility.
The beta will feature three classes, each capable of wielding three different weapon types, offering a flexible combat system with diverse playstyles. Set in the world of Setera, the open world features dynamic weather, time-based events, and regional bosses that react to player actions and in-game time.
PvE players can look forward to challenging dungeons and raids, while PvP enthusiasts can participate in 1v1 duels and open-field battles. Additional PvP and PvPvE content is in development for future phases.

At Unreal Fest, CD Projekt Red surprised fans by showing the very first gameplay footage of The Witcher 4. The demo reveals the region of Kovir — a first-time location in the games, though well-known to readers of the books.
The tech demo follows Ciri on a monster contract in Kovir, a resource-rich region filled with mountains and lush forests. Visually, the game already looks stunning.
Since their strategic partnership began in 2022, CDPR and Epic Games have worked together to enhance Unreal Engine 5 for large-scale open-world games. Running at 60 FPS on a PlayStation 5, the demo showcases several advanced features: the Unreal Animation Framework, Nanite Foliage rendering, MetaHuman integration with large-scale AI crowd systems, and more.

Despite the excitement, CDPR co-CEO Michał Nowakowski urged caution, saying the game is still “far from finished.” The company had previously stated The Witcher 4 wouldn’t release before 2027 at the earliest, so it’s still at least 2–3 years away.
The Witcher 4 is described as a brand-new open-world RPG that kicks off a new saga, with players stepping into the role of Ciri, Geralt’s successor. While not yet confirmed, rumors suggest Geralt is still alive and will play a role in the story.

The time-bending MMORPG Chrono Odyssey, developed by Chrono Studio and published by Kakao Games, has stirred headlines after receiving an Adults Only rating in South Korea due to graphic violence and blood.

Highlights include free flight across all map regions, the ability to create mounts and pets using the souls of defeated monsters, and a world that is 36 times larger than the first game, including iconic zones. The storyline takes place 200 years after the events of the original game, showing the struggle for survival of the Elyos, Asmodians, and Balaur after the collapse of the Tower of Aion.
The devs also announced major changes in race design, removing exaggerated physical differences like claws on Asmodians to avoid imbalance between players.
In PvE, the game will feature around 200 dungeons, with solo, 4-player, and 8-player modes, as well as field events. The matchmaking system will be cross-server and will include an easy mode for beginners with rewards.
Combat will be fully manual, with no auto-battle, featuring realistic hit detection and non-target mechanics, both on PC and mobile. A Focus Group Test has also been confirmed before the official release, with registrations open until June 12 on the official website. Test sessions will be held on June 28 and 29.

Elden Ring Nightreign is the latest multiplayer spin-off that invites players to team up and face tough bosses in the classic FromSoftware style. However, the game is strict about team sizes, allowing only solo players or groups of three. This may change after launch, as the developers are now considering a two-player option.
In an interview with IGN, game director Junya Ishizaki stated that the idea of a two-player mode was “overlooked” during development, but it’s now being discussed for a potential post-launch update.
Ishizaki added that even in three-player co-op mode, players will be encouraged to operate independently and complete objectives on their own. For solo players, enemy behavior and aggression have been tweaked to ensure fair combat without overwhelming encounters.
While duo support won’t be available at launch, there’s still hope it might arrive in a future patch. FromSoftware has already announced that Elden Ring Nightreign will receive post-launch support with additional bosses, enemies, classes, and features.
Elden Ring has become one of the most influential new IPs of this generation. The open-world action RPG by FromSoftware, released in 2022, earned numerous Game of the Year awards and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Given its massive success, it’s no surprise that a movie adaptation is now in development—with A24 set to distribute the film.
According to Deadline, acclaimed director Alex Garland has been tapped to write and direct the Elden Ring movie. Garland is best known for Ex Machina (2014), Annihilation (2018), and most recently, Warfare (2025). He also has experience in gaming, having contributed to DMC: Devil May Cry (2013) as a writer.
While details remain scarce, the film will be produced by Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, and George R. R. Martin, the author of A Song of Ice and Fire and a creative contributor to the original game.
This won’t be A24’s first venture into video game adaptations—the studio is also working on the Death Stranding movie by Hideo Kojima, expected to release in 2027.
As with other FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring features a cryptic, environmental approach to storytelling. It will be fascinating to see how Garland and the production team bring that atmosphere to life on the big screen.
Netmarble has announced that the anime-style action game MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be showcased at two major gaming events in June 2025. At Unreal Fest, held from June 2 to 5, the team will discuss the game’s development and the technologies used.

In addition, the developers confirmed they are actively collaborating with Epic Games to receive technical support for optimizing the game across various platforms. This partnership is expected to ensure a smooth global launch in the second half of 2025.
MONGIL: STAR DIVE is a cross-platform action RPG developed by Netmarble Monster using Unreal Engine 5. Players will explore a vast world, tame monsters, and engage in battles by assembling teams of three characters, each with unique abilities.
Closed beta testing in South Korea is scheduled from May 21 to 27, 2025, after which the game is expected to move swiftly toward release.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, Architect delivers stunning visuals and a layered story that unfolds as players explore the Tower.

Pearl Abyss has officially announced that its upcoming open-world action RPG, Crimson Desert, will fully support NVIDIA’s advanced graphics technologies at launch. This includes DLSS 4 features such as frame generation, multi-frame generation, super resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex for reduced input latency.
The game will also use ray tracing optimized for the GeForce RTX 50 series, delivering highly realistic lighting and reflections without sacrificing performance in dynamic or open-world scenes.
“Crimson Desert is a major leap in open-world action design,” said Ken Zhong Cho, Head of Engine Development at Pearl Abyss.
The game is set to release in late 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In its Q1 2025 financial report, NCSOFT dropped unexpected news about its upcoming MMORPG, AION 2. CEO Park Byung-moon and CFO Hong Won-jun shared a development update, including test dates, release windows, and revenue projections.
It all starts on May 29, with a special live broadcast where NCSOFT will officially unveil the first gameplay details. The event follows the game’s announcement on May 13 and marks the beginning of its marketing push.
Closed testing begins in June

What’s inside AION 2?

The wait is over. The trailer for The Conjuring: Last Rites has officially been released, setting the stage for the final chapter in the Warrens’ terrifying saga. Starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga one last time, this fourth main installment promises to be the most personal yet.
Directed by Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Nun II), the film is based on the chilling true story of the Smurl family, who were plagued by paranormal disturbances in 1980s Pennsylvania.
A deeper and darker goodbye
Set in 1986, the story follows the Warrens as they’ve stepped away from active investigations — until one final, terrifying case pulls them back. The trailer introduces Mia Tomlinson as an adult Judy Warren, who will play a major role in this emotional send-off.
Expect flashbacks featuring young Ed and Lorraine, played by Orion Smith and Madison Lawlor, adding emotional depth to this “reckoning” tale, as Vera Farmiga describes it.
The Conjuring Universe isn’t over yet
While Last Rites concludes the Warrens’ journey, it’s not the end of the franchise. According to New Line Cinema, this film wraps up “Phase One” of the Conjuring Universe. A Phase Two is in development, with more stories, entities, and a new series on Max in the works.
The May 15 update introduces two fresh ways to take on tough bosses:
The Crucible of the Grand General: a series of battles against boss groups with fixed conditions.
Berserk: Bloodshed: a more dynamic mode where you grow stronger as you progress.
⚠️ Heads-up: These modes unlock only after finishing the main story to avoid major spoilers.
Fast Travel and Smarter Exploration
While the devs admitted some features like task replay aren’t possible due to technical limitations, they’re adding smart alternatives:
Teleport between Klinka and Kernaks
Use of special movement items for quick travel
These improvements are aimed at making backtracking less tedious and saving players time.
More Features Coming Late May and June
In the next update (late May to early June), expect:
Enhanced Ghost visual design
Sort items by name
Expanded inventory space
Instant teleportation from ghost portals after finishing a quest
Coming mid-June:
Combat balancing
Class skill adjustments
New mechanics tied to how stats affect weapons

Kakao Games announced that a closed NDA test for ArcheAge Chronicles will take place between June and July 2025. Over 100 selected players from western regions will get early access to the game’s current version and provide feedback.
Based on player impressions, the studio will determine the schedule for a global closed beta, planned for the second half of the year.
Core Development Completed
The team confirmed that the main development is done. Systems for combat, character progression, open-world exploration, dungeons, player housing, social interaction, and trading are already in place.
Right now, the devs are polishing performance, refining quests, and integrating narrative elements that tie together the game’s rich world and lore.
Launch Set for 2026 on PC and Consoles
ArcheAge Chronicles (formerly known as ArcheAge 2) is slated for release in the first half of 2026 on both PC and consoles.
Unlike its predecessor, this title will shift away from massive PvP battles, focusing instead on a solo-friendly experience with individual content and a story-driven campaign.
Just days after confirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is delayed to May 26, 2026, Rockstar has dropped a fresh bombshell: the second official trailer is here.
This new footage takes us back to Vice City, the GTA universe’s version of Miami, and centers around the game’s main characters — a dynamic duo ready to shake things up. The visuals? Absolutely next-level.
What We Know So Far
The first trailer broke all-time YouTube records.
Originally slated for late 2025, the game is now set for spring 2026.
Rockstar insists this delay is to meet sky-high quality expectations.
They’ve done it before — and let’s be honest, it’s always worth the wait.
Hype Level: Maxed Out
With each reveal, GTA 6 keeps fueling gamer excitement. From vibrant streets to wild action, Vice City looks ready to rule again. Fans are already dissecting every frame of the trailer.
The internet has been buzzing for weeks with rumors, and now HoYoverse just dropped a major clue: a teaser for a new Honkai game that looks a lot like a monster-catching adventure à la Pokémon.
During a Honkai: Star Rail event, fans got their first look at the upcoming title, featuring anime-style cityscapes and mysterious creatures. Though still under wraps, the game is believed to be titled Honkai: Nexo Anima, with the name already registered in several countries.
What We Know So Far
The game’s name is officially registered across multiple regions.
A website and social media accounts are already prepped for launch.
No gameplay details yet, but the teaser speaks volumes.
It’s clear HoYoverse is planning something big. Could we get a full reveal at the upcoming Summer Game Fest?
Will Nintendo React?
Given what happened with Palworld, some are wondering if this new title might attract legal attention from Nintendo. While there’s no sign of that yet, industry eyes are watching closely.
It’s official—Rockstar has pushed back the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI to May 26, 2026. While fans were holding onto hope for a 2025 release, today’s announcement confirms that more patience will be needed.
The record-breaking trailer that dropped last year generated massive hype, with millions of views in just hours. Since then, silence… until now.
Why the Delay?
In a heartfelt message, Rockstar addressed fans directly:
“We’re sorry this is later than expected. The interest and excitement around a new Grand Theft Auto has been humbling. We want to deliver a game that exceeds expectations, and GTA VI is no exception.”
The studio emphasized that the extra development time will ensure the game hits the high-quality standard the community expects—and deserves.
What It Means for the Industry
With GTA 6 now locked in for late May 2026, expect a ripple effect across the gaming world. Developers have been cautious about scheduling releases around Rockstar’s behemoth, and now we may see new announcements during Summer Game Fest.
Final Thoughts
Sure, waiting longer isn’t fun—but when it comes to Grand Theft Auto, it’s worth it. If Rockstar delivers what they’re promising, we could be in for the most ambitious GTA yet.
👉 Stay tuned for our full GTA VI guide coming soon 👉 Share your thoughts: is the delay a smart move or frustrating news?
Fans eager to try Chrono Odyssey can now request access to the game’s closed beta test through its official Steam page. The registration button appeared without much fanfare, hinting at a soft rollout of the upcoming playtest phase.
While no official launch date for the beta has been confirmed, many expect more information to surface during Summer Game Fest. Described as an action-oriented MMORPG, the game has generated buzz thanks to gameplay previews and its promise of a more hands-on experience compared to auto-combat MMOs.
Developers have assured that Chrono Odyssey will not feature pay-to-win systems, a commitment that may help ease concerns from MMO veterans. The road to launch is heating up, and early access is now just one click away.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has exploded onto the scene, becoming the highest-rated game of the year (92 Metacritic, 9.7 user score) and selling over 1 million copies in just 3 days. Not bad for a debut title.
Naturally, fans are asking: will there be DLC? While nothing is confirmed yet, lead writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen responded on social media saying, “Nothing concrete… but based on the responses so far, I’d say chances are good. =)”
Community Support Could Shape the Future

BitCraft Online, the ambitious sandbox MMORPG with a fully procedural world, just dropped major news: its code will be open-sourced. That’s right — the devs want to hand the reins to the community as the game approaches early access.
What does open source mean here?
In an industry where closed systems dominate, BitCraft is breaking the mold. This move means players and developers can:
Fix bugs directly in the code
Create and share custom mods
Run private servers
Study and learn from the game’s architecture
What won’t be included?
While the code will be open, game assets like music, branding, and visuals will remain protected. The release will use an Open Source Initiative-approved license.
Why it matters
Commercial MMORPGs almost never open their code — legal risks, complexity, and competition fears usually get in the way. But BitCraft believes transparency and community power can fuel long-term growth and creativity.
🚀 What’s next?
With over seven years in development, BitCraft is betting on open innovation to shape its future. For devs, tinkerers, and modders — this is a dream come true.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched as the highest-rated game of 2025 so far, and despite this week’s release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, it has managed to achieve an impressive number of sales.
Just a few days after launch, Sandfall Interactive announced that the game had already surpassed 500K sales. Now, after a strong weekend boost, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially crossed the 1 million sales milestone.
In a tweet, the studio thanked fans for their support and noted that they reached the 1 million players mark much earlier than expected. Notably, this number does not include players who accessed the game through Game Pass.
For those unfamiliar, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG where players must defeat The Paintress, a goddess-like figure who controls death in this fantasy world. The game has received widespread acclaim from critics, and players on Steam are leaving overwhelmingly positive reviews.
The second season of The Last of Us continues expanding its universe, and in Episode 3, it introduces one of the most important cults from the video game: the Seraphites.
During the episode, while Ellie deals with Joel’s death and plans her trip to Seattle with Tommy, the series shifts to a different scene. Outside the city, a young girl named Constance is seen walking with her father, both dressed in military clothing and bearing strange scars on their faces. A brief conversation confirms that they belong to the Seraphites, a religious group that emerged after the collapse of civilization.
In the game, the Seraphites were founded by an anonymous prophet who claimed to have visions after the outbreak. Years after her death, the group evolved into a militarized faction in conflict with the WLF (Washington Liberation Front), to which Abby belongs. The show reveals that the Prophet died in 2019, turning her into a martyr for her followers.
The arrival of the Seraphites marks a major shift in the storyline, as their conflict with the WLF is a key part of the second game. However, their fate in the series seems grim: while exploring a trail, Ellie and Dina discover the dead bodies of Constance and her father, hinting at a tragic end for the cult.
With this development, The Last of Us continues to explore how different communities find meaning — and sometimes fanaticism — in a post-apocalyptic world.
While the surprise was spoiled weeks early, the official reveal of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered still delivered excitement. Fans quickly returned to the iconic Imperial City, leading to a major surge in players.
Since its launch on Tuesday, Oblivion Remastered has already surpassed 4 million players in just a few days, Bethesda announced.
Why is it so successful?
Oblivion Remastered has been one of the most anticipated remasters for years. Rumors started when the title appeared in leaked documents from the FTC vs Microsoft court case. Those documents also mentioned Fallout 3 Remastered and Dishonored 3, neither of which has been officially confirmed yet.
Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Game Pass boost the numbers
Oblivion Remastered quickly became a top-seller on Steam, Xbox, and PS5.
Plus, its launch on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass gave it an extra push, making it easy for millions to revisit Cyrodiil right from day one.

If you’ve been following Ashes of Creation, you know it’s been a long road. Last year we finally got hands-on with Alpha Two. First, it launched as weekend-only (Phase 1), then expanded to five days a week (Phase 2), and the plan was to go full 24/7 in Phase 3.
But plans have changed.
Why the Delay?
According to the folks at Intrepid Studios, some core systems still need work, and they’re currently upgrading the game to Unreal Engine 5.5. Because of this, Phase 3 is now set to begin on August 4.
What’s Happening Until Then?
Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of action! Phase 2 will continue until the new launch date, and new content drops are planned to keep things spicy. Bonus: if you already have Alpha Two Phase 2 access, you’re automatically in for Phase 3.
So keep your eyes on the official site and get ready — Ashes of Creation is just getting started!

Rockstar Games is tirelessly working to make GTA VI one of the standout titles in the video game industry for the coming years. The commitment of the American company is so firm that they have ensured the project’s continuity despite the recent actors’ strike, guaranteeing that the game’s production will not be affected. The big question now is when the next reveal of the project will happen, with the game set for release in fall 2025. Recently, a potential date for the second trailer’s reveal has emerged, possibly hinted at through GTA Online.
Rockstar has seemingly teased GTA 6 Trailer 2’s date on a pizza scooter with “OCT 4” written on its plate in the latest GTA Online update trailer. pic.twitter.com/wrR2NkWxga
— GTA 6 Countdown ⏳ (@GTAVI_Countdown) July 27, 2024
Rockstar is known for dropping hints in their content that excite fans, and this time seems no different. In the GTA Online trailer for the pizza delivery event, fans spotted a possible reference: the date October 4th, visible on the license plate of one of the motorcycles in the video. This date could be crucial for GTA VI followers, potentially marking the reveal of the game’s second trailer.
While it’s challenging to confirm if this date specifically refers to GTA VI or another Rockstar content, the development team’s meticulousness suggests something significant is planned for October 4, 2024.
What Differences Can We Expect Between GTA VI and GTA V?
The first official trailer for GTA VI left many questions about the aspects that will define this new installment. However, a former Rockstar developer has suggested that we shouldn’t expect significant differences between GTA V and GTA VI. The lack of substantial technical advancements in the latest console generation might be a reason behind this, limiting the potential innovations the new game could offer.
Despite these claims, it remains to be seen what the final result of GTA VI will be when it officially launches. There is still over a year until its release, but we might get more details soon if the date hinted at in GTA Online is indeed related to the new game.

Yinlin is an upcoming playable character in Wuthering Waves, and we’ve gathered all the essential information about her release date, banner, and the materials needed for her promotion. If you’re a fan of this game, keep reading to learn all the details.
Who is Yinlin?
Yinlin is a 5-star character who wields the Electro element and fights with a rectifier. She is set to appear in version 1.0 of the game. As a standout character, many players are eager to add her to their teams due to her unique abilities and role as a Sub-DPS.
When will she be available in Wuthering Waves?
Originally, her banner was expected to be available from June 13, 2024, until the end of version 1.0, but Kuro Games decided to release it earlier. Yinlin will be available in the game through the Featured Resonators Rally starting on June 6 2024, and you can obtain her until June 28 2024. Similar to other games like Genshin Impact, the moves made in the previous banner (in this case, Jiyan’s banner) will carry over to Yinlin’s banner. This means if you lost the 50/50 with Jiyan, you are guaranteed to get Yinlin within the next 80 moves.
4-Star characters in Yinlin’s banner
The following 4-star characters will be available with a higher drop rate in Yinlin’s banner:
How to use Yinlin
Her role in the team
Yinlin stand out as a Sub-DPS who deals damage through additional attacks. She uses two types of marks to inflict extra damage on enemies:
Sin Mark: Releases an additional attack when the resonance skill is used.
Punishment Mark: All attacks trigger additional attacks, even after switching characters.
Due to her wide AoE, she is excellent for battles against multiple enemies.
Best team combinations
➤ Electro ATK Team
Calcharo: Main DPS
Yinlin: Uses Outro skill to boost Electro damage
Verina: Supports the team
This team focuses on maximizing Calcharo’s electric damage, with Verina healing and boosting attacks.
➤ Wide-Range ATK Team
Jiyan: DPS ideal for long-range attacks
Yinlin: Excellent for fighting multiple enemies
Baizhi: Supports the team
This team is ideal for challenges with many enemies, leveraging Jiyan and Yinlin’s wide-range attacks.
Best Echoes and weapons
➤ Echoes
Thunderous Mephis: Best for main DPS, increases electric damage and resonance release damage.
Heron of Impermanence: Best for support role, increases incoming character damage and Havoc damage.
Flutist: Continuously fires an electric beam to deal damage, gaining 1 concert energy with each hit.
Suelen, Suelen: Attracts enemies and is easy to obtain.
➤ Weapons
Stringmaster or Cosmic Ripples: While the main crit rate stat of 36% on this weapon might seem irresistible, it’s not the only valuable stat in the game. As you progress towards the endgame, many of your Echoes already provide a high crit rate, making the additional crit from this weapon less significant. Additionally, Yinlin gains a 15% crit rate from her passive talent after using her resonance skill. According to my calculations, Yinlin’s signature weapon is about 13% stronger than the Standard Banner Rectifier, Cosmic Ripples. However, since Yinlin is not a Main DPS, this 13% increase is not as impactful as it would be for someone like Jiyan. If you want to save your Asterite, consider getting Cosmic Ripples with standard pulls. If you have the Battle Pass, the upgrade weapon is also a good option.
Don’t miss the opportunity!
Yinlin promises to be an exciting addition to Wuthering Waves with her unique abilities and crucial team role. Get ready for her release on June 6, 2024, and make sure you have enough resources to maximize her potential in your team. Good luck with your pulls!
The Tomb Raider universe is rapidly expanding, with a series of exciting projects aiming to interconnect games and TV series. Among the most notable is the highly anticipated live-action series of Lara Croft, which will be launched by Prime Video. But this is just the beginning, as there are other significant developments underway that promise to delight fans of the most famous adventurer in the video game industry.
The animated series
In addition to the new video game that has yet to be officially announced, another key project is the animated series “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” which will premiere on Netflix in a few months. Recently, it was confirmed that the series will debut on October 10, as announced in a trailer released a few hours ago. This series promises to showcase new feats of Lara and the dangers she will face.
Temporal connection and relevance
Although it might seem like just another animated series based on a video game franchise, “The Legend of Lara Croft” has a more ambitious purpose. According to reports, Netflix intends to connect the classic games with the latest Tomb Raider trilogy developed by Crystal Dynamics in a single timeline. This makes it a crucial production for fans of the saga, as it will continue the events seen in “Shadow of the Tomb Raider.”
Additional Details About the Series
Despite this animated series not being connected to the Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vikander, it is known that Hayley Atwell will voice Lara Croft in the Netflix series. Other characters appearing include Jonah Maiava, portrayed by Earl Baylon, who also brought this character to life in the last three games of the franchise. Additionally, the character Zip, a classic ally providing technology and technical support to Lara, will also play an important role in the series.
Connections
The expansion of the Tomb Raider universe promises an exciting convergence of media, with interconnected video games and series enriching the fans’ experience. With the new animated series and the upcoming Crystal Dynamics video game on the horizon, Lara Croft’s followers have much to look forward to. This synergy between different narrative formats ensures that Tomb Raider will remain a vibrant and relevant franchise for years to come.

Cooperative gaming enthusiasts are about to dive into an exciting and spine-chilling experience with the upcoming release of Murky Divers. Developed by Embers, this title promises a unique blend of comedy and terror as players confront the horrors of the ocean floor.
A glimpse into Murky Divers: The mission of the blind submarine
In Murky Divers, players take on the role of fearless explorers operating a “blind” submarine. Relying solely on sonar for navigation, the three-person team embarks on a perilous mission: to eliminate any evidence of failed experiments related to abandoned laboratories in underwater wrecks.
Cooperation in the depths
Unlike competitive games, Murky Divers emphasizes cooperation among players to survive. With a similar approach to Lethal Company, players must work together to explore the ocean floor, collect human remains, and destroy them aboard the submarine.
Facing the horrors of the abyss
The journey won’t be easy, as the ocean floor is teeming with dangers. From humanoid figures that send shivers down the spine to sea creatures like krakens, players must stay alert at all times while fulfilling their mission.
Strategic planning for success
In addition to real-time action, Murky Divers incorporates strategic elements by allowing players to spend credits on submarine upgrades. This mechanic adds depth to the game, as players must make tactical decisions on how to invest their resources to face future challenges.
¿Ready for launch?
Scheduled for release on June 19th on Steam, Murky Divers promises to captivate players with an immersive and thrilling gaming experience. Unlike many indie games, the game will debut as a full version, without early access, with plans to expand with additional content in the future.
In summary, this game offers an exciting mix of underwater terror and cooperation that is sure to keep players on the edge of their seats as they explore the unknown depths of the ocean.

An investigation was opened in the Korean version of the MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising published by Kakao Games and developed by Lionheart Studio, due to the probable use of cheats by some users.
According to the Odin community, videos appeared on YouTube in which the use of illegal programs can be seen. The Odin team is investigating whether or not cheats were actually used.
Two types of illegal programs were identified through this investigation, the first of which, despite being illegal, does not seem to have had any consequences in the game. But another program would modify the movement and speed of the attacks.
Kakao Games is investigating the suspected cases and will take the time necessary to determine the truth of the allegations, so that players of Odin: Valhalla Rising are not harmed.
«As soon as the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate action for accounts that use illegal programs.»
In addition, the investigation will be complemented by looking for traces of illegal use of programs in other situations that have also been reported, such as the automatic loot.
«We will verify all game videos and logs and will sanction all accounts involved.»
The MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising adds the Odin Link feature, which will allow you to remotely control your PC character via a mobile app when autoplay is activated.
Odin: Valhalla Rising is a cross-platform MMORPG, which can be played on both PC and mobile platforms. And like many cross-platform MMORPGs, Odin features an autoplay option for more repetitive activities like following quest paths, farming, and even venturing into certain dungeons. Linked with the automatic function, now comes Odin Link.
Odin Link is a feature built into the KakaoTalk app (from the Kakao group, whose subsidiary Kakao Games is the parent of Loinheart) that allows you to monitor your character’s activity on the PC version. You can keep in touch with the other players in your party and also receive notifications when the autoplaying character has a problem, for example if he dies or his inventory is full .
The global version of Odin: Valhalla Rising, from Kakao Games, will launch in North America and Europe in 2023 according to announcements made in the latest earnings call.
According to official earnings call reports by Kakao Games, Odin: Valhalla Rising will launch first for mobile and PC in Japan during the first quarter of 2023. It will be followed by the game’s release in North America and Europe in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Kakao Games Becomes the Majority Shareholder of Lionheart, Creators of Odin Valhall Rising
When the MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising was revealed, many gamers were impressed by the details and potential of the game. And of course, that ended up putting its developer, Lionheart Studio, in the spotlight. Later, the company closed a deal with Kakao Games to publish the title in South Korea, and it seems that now, the plans for a global version have just gained momentum. After all, the publisher decided to bet on the study and became its main shareholder.
Through an official statement, Kakao Games confirmed that it became the owner of 54.95% of the shares of Lionheart Studio and, consequently, took control of the company. With that, we can say that now the publisher also owns Odin: Valhalla Rising and will be able to make all the decisions regarding the release and development of the game. In a way, this could be great news, since we are talking about a company that has a global presence, which could make it easier to launch the MMORPG outside of South Korea.
It’s also worth mention that it was Kakao Games’ decision to impose an IP block for certain regions when the MMORPG Elyon was released. Therefore, it can be said that there is a chance that Odin: Valhalla Rising will have a global version, but with access available for a select group of regions ( IP-Block ).
In any case, it is still early to know what Kakao Games intends to do with Odin Valhalla Rising, so we can only keep an eye on the news. We hope that the Odin Valhalla Rising is IP-Block free and available to everyone, without any restrictions.
Lionheart Studio presented the next big update for the MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising for mobile devices and PC, titled Chapter V: Muspelheim.
The update will open the gates to the new Muspelheim region, which in German-Norse mythology is one of the nine worlds inhabited by fire giants along with their master Surtr. The update will also launch a new 이둔 (Idunn) server.
Until December 20, you can pre-register for the update on the official Odin: Valhalla Rising website, but as always, you will need a Korean phone number. This will give you various rewards, such as a challenge ticket, an Ivaldi Kanhwa stone, and up to 3 million gold for inviting friends.
The global version of Odin: Valhalla Rising is scheduled for release in 2022
Hello Risers, It’s time for our 2nd Q&A session. Got more questions? Other things you would like to share with us? Let us know in the comments below! Let us begin:
#1 Q: Are there any news about the global release? A: We have news to share indeed! Recently, we chose Kakao Games to be Odin Valhalla Rising’s publisher, for both the Taiwanese & global versions of the game. Kakao Games has an enormous amount of experience and in publishing games, both within and outside South Korea.
In addition, Kakao Games is our game’s publisher in South Korea. Our journey together has been, so far, overwhelmingly successful. We are looking forward to continuing that journey and seeing what the future holds for both of us. Last but not least, Odin is scheduled to release in Taiwan during the first quarter of next year (2022). The global release is expected to take place right after the Taiwanese one.
#2 Q: Are you going to remove the «autoplay» option from the global version of the game? A: We are still considering that option and have yet to make a final decision on the matter.
#3 Q: Do you guys work on additional projects, other than Odin Valhalla Rising? A: Yes! We recently revealed that we are working on a couple of new titles, in addition to Odin Valhalla Rising.
#4 Q: Can you share more information about the new projects? What kind of games are they? Which platforms will they be available on? A: Those projects are still in a very early stage of development. When the right time comes, we will gladly reveal more information.
#5 Q: Are we going to see anything about Odin in this year’s G-star game convention? A: Yes you will! G-star is South Korea’s biggest game convention and since Kakao Games are one of the main sponsors of this year’s convention, Odin is going to be ‘The Star’ of G star!~CM Aska
The European subsidiary of Kakao Games has signed a contract to acquire approximately 30.37% stake in Lionheart Studio, known from the MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising. Through these investments, they plan to strengthen their competitiveness in the global market.
Kakao Games has also confirmed that it will become the publisher for the western version of ODIN: Valhalla Rising. As a reminder, the original Korean version, released in June 2021, is also being distributed by this company.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue growing with Lionheart Studio, which has excellent development capabilities and talents. We will build a close relationship between the two companies so that we can demonstrate good service not only in Korea, but also in the global market, ” said Kakao Games CEO Jo Ge Hyun.
Kakao Games signed its first partnership agreement with Lionheart Studio in August 2018. After that, in May 2020, additional strategic investments were made, and in June 2021, the multiplatform MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising was introduced to the domestic market, where it gained popularity in the early days.
The developers of the MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising have published a new trailer on their English YouTube channel. The video entitled «Nidavellir Tour (2021 edition)» is dedicated to Nidavellir, another of the nine worlds of Norse mythology. You can see the vast place and its hostile inhabitants, with whom you have to fight.
Hello Risers,
Do you like cold weather? I hope you do because we are going to visit a super cold area named Nidavellir. This land is full of snow and ice but underneath, it is filled with rich minerals and other valuable materials. If the cold didn’t bother you anyway, be sure to watch out for all kinds of traps scattered in the snowy mountains of Nidavellir. Who set those traps? The dwarves who live in this area. They are not very fond of visitors thus they decided to create all of those «welcome gifts».
The dwarves created their village deep underground where it is much warmer. Do not be fooled by their little bodies. Many among the dwarves are considered to be master craftsmen and can create all kinds of special weapons and other unique artifacts.Shall we pay a quick visit to Nidavellir?
The developers of the MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising have published a new trailer on their English YouTube channel. The video entitled «Alfheim Tour (2021 edition)» is dedicated to Alfheim, another of the nine worlds of Norse mythology. You can see the vast place and its hostile inhabitants, with whom you have to fight.
Have you heard of Alfheim?
«Enhanced by Yggdrasil’s magical life energy, Alfheim is home to many unique life forms. Among them, are the mystical elves.
Believing in self-reliance along with little to no trust towards outsiders, the elves have shut themselves away from rest for the world.
Well, I have some connections so I’ve managed to visit there a few times. Would you like to have a short tour of this divine land as well?» – wrote CM Aska in the description of the video.
This land was given to the humans by the gods. The weather here tends to be quite cold but if the sun shines upon you, it can warm you up a little. The most beautiful thing about Midgard is the magnificent castles, surrounded by vast green lands.
And the humans?
Well, most of them are just trying to live their daily lives. But few brave ones can no longer turn a blind eye to what Loki is trying to do.
What about you, Risers? Which group of humans do you belong to? How about we go for a quick visit to Midgard so you can see everything yourself?
Oh! If you see Roskkba, can you please send her my regards? She is so sweet & kind. Feel free to ask her if you need any help!
Lionheart Studio continues to introduce Western players to MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising locations. On their English YouTube channel, the developers have published a Jotunheim Tour (version 2021) dedicated to Jotunheim, one of the nine worlds of Scandinavian mythology.
«I strongly advise you to NOT visit Jotunheim by yourself. This place is & its inhabitants are not for the weak of heart. It consists of mainly dry, rocky lands and you may never know what lies beneath those rocks. It can be a tiny spider or a scorpion (when I say «tiny», I mean 2-3 meters long. Let’s not even talk about the bigger ones ?).»
ODIN: Valhalla Rising launched in South Korea in late June 2021. A global release date has yet to be announced.
Greetings Risers, We gathered some questions that many of you might have about ODIN: Valhalla Rising.
Remember that the answers are relevant to the Korean version of the game. Various changes might be applied in the global version. We will do our best to notify you about such changes if and when they are decided.
Q: What kind of game is ODIN?
A: Based on Norse mythology, ODIN is an MMORPG which supports cross-play on both PC & mobile.
Q: Is ODIN a Free To Play game?
A: Yes! You can download and enjoy ODIN for free on both PC & mobile.
Q: When do we get to see ODIN’s global launch?
A: There is still no specific date but make sure to visit our official social media channels often (Like this Facebook page) to get the latest news & developments about ODIN.
Q: Which classes are available in ODIN?
A: Currently, four classes are available: rogue, priest, sorceress, and warrior. However, we plan to add additional classes in the future.
Q: Why did you put an “autoplay” function in the game?
A: The “autoplay” function is a means of convenience and is very common in other mobile RPG games. However, manual play will be beneficial in many ways which include but aren’t limited to:
Conditional Skills (name subject to change)- Each class will have its own unique skill which can be used if certain conditions are met during PVE or PVP battles. While those skills can have a huge effect during battle, they can be activated only by playing the game manually.
Exploration Quests – some of the sub-quests will require you to search for specific locations and/or NPCs without using ‘autoplay’ or ‘auto pathing’.
Boss Monsters – many boss monsters have strong AOE attacks which can only be avoided by playing the game manually. Avoiding these attacks will increase your chance of defeating those bosses.
Treasure Chests – You can find valuable treasures by simply exploring the world. Run, jump & climb as you search for that treasure that might make you a whole lot stronger. Q: I got banned from the Korean version of the game for using an emulator and VPN. I did nothing wrong. Why did I got banned? A: First of all, we would like to thank everyone who spent time and energy playing the Korean version of Odin. We imagine that the whole process wasn’t easy as almost everything was in a language you are not familiar with. We would also like to thank the Korean players who helped the global ones with translations and for all their help with the language barrier in general. As for the ban of those who used emulators and/or VPN, this was an unavoidable step. The reason was a massive RMT activity (diamonds sellers) which was mostly held outside of Korea. These kinds of practices are extremely harmful to the game and its community. By banning the use of both VPN and emulators, we were able to minimize the scale of such activities, preventing additional damage in the process. We do, however, understand that many legitimate players were hurt in the process, as they are no longer able to access the Korean version of the game. Unfortunately, we can not offer those players any solution in regards to accessing the Korean version of the game in the future. However, that doesn’t mean that the global players are not importhant to us. We are working on Odin’s global version as hard as we can. We will do everything in our ability to deliver a game that is worth waiting for. All we ask in return is that you will give us a little more time. In addition, feel free to share with us any feedback, thoughts, or impressions you got while playing the Korean version of Odin: Valhalla Rising.

Lionheart Studio has released an english story trailer for ODIN: Valhalla Rising. The trailer is dedicated to Loki and has already been published before, but this time it includes english voices and subtitles.
It tells about the rise of a rebellion by the god Loki after the murder of his three sons and the subsequent confrontation with other deities and heroes. We can see the key characters in the saga and some of the monsters that we have to fight. Remember that the developers plan to create their own unique story based on Scandinavian myths.
ODIN: Valhalla Rising is an Unreal Engine 4 MMORPG for PC and mobile devices based on Scandinavian mythology, developed by Lionheart Studio, a young South Korean studio. According to the guarantees of the developers, 3D scanning and motion capture was used for the first time, and we will have to fight with various famous gods as Thor, Loki, Odin, Freya and others.
The upcoming cross-platform MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising unveiled a new trailer. The preview is called «Loki’s Wrath» and, as you can guess, it’s dedicated to Loki, or more precisely, to his hatred for Odin. As stated in the video description, the video was created in the game engine and reflects the actual quality of the graphics.
ODIN: Valhalla Rising will be released in the first half of 2021 for PC and mobile devices in South Korea. The Nordic-style MMORPG is also planning to enter the global market, but there are no confirmed dates yet. Remember that Odin: Valhalla Rising recently received an 18+ adult rating from the game’s administration committee due to its realistic weapons, overly aggressive scenes with red blood, and the presence of a paid goods exchange system.
Kakao Games has confirmed that the multiplatform MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising has received an adult rating from the game’s management committee. In other words, the project is intended for users over 18 years.
According to the committee’s decision, Odin: Valhalla Rising is classified as prohibitive for children and teenagers due to realistic weapons and aggressive scenes with red blood upon attacking.
Additionally, a Kakao Games representative confirmed that Odin: Valhalla Rising release will take place in the first half of 2021. Most likely, we are talking about South Korea only about.
Today 8th of February Kakao Games held its 4Q2020 conference call in which we got a bit more of insight in their upcoming projects.
Kakao Games after the launch of Elyion in KR securing a revenue of 8.9 million dollars, Kakao Games CEO expressed its intent to expand all its current titles to other markets.
Sadly for us Odin Valhalla enthusiasts we still have to wait a bit more on our bench for a release date.
«In terms of new launch titles on schedule, for ODIN, Korean version is scheduled for 2Q 2021 while for the Taiwanese version makret we aim for the 2nd Half of the year release» – KAKAO GAMES
An interesting question was uttered during the call regarding ODIN which was answered by Kakao Games CEO:
Question: “What is the unique and differentiation factor that distinguishes Odin from other competing game titles, also what are your key end game content that this game title focuses on?»
Answer (paraphrased):«Soon we will have an opportunity to show you the very specific features that this game really offers, but you would know that this title in based in Nordic mythology it offers very strong story as well as game Universe we think that’s going to work as a very big and significant appeal to the player base, if you look at the capabilities to the Lionheart dev team they both offer high level of graphics and action gameplay characteristic, which is rarely present in current MMOs for the end game content its PVP, we will announce more details in the near future«
As of this moment it seems that we aren’t get our hands in the game in our markets. But as always, we will find our way to try the game at least in other markets.
On the other hand, if you are also looking forward to play Elyon, Kakao Games has planned to release this new MMORPG sometime in the 2nd Half of 2021.
15 new screenshots are available, showing the main characters, territories, and three different races: Humans, Giants, and Dwarves. It is worth pointing out that developers are constantly striving to show the scale of future novelties, therefore, to demonstrate how high or low creatures are, they always put a person by their side.
Odin: Valhalla Rising is a multiplatform MMORPG published by Kakao Games and developed by Lionheart Studios. Even before the announcement, it attracted a lot of attention with its beautiful graphics and a story based on Scandinavian mythology.
The multiplatform MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising received a new trailer showing various locations. The video was recorded on the game engine, which means that we can see now the actual quality of the game graphics.
The video features places like Manaheim, Jotunheim, Nidavellir, and Alfheim, as well as the Yggdrasil world tree. Each place has its own characteristics and visual differences. In addition, you will be able to appreciate the gameplay with movement around the world, both on the ground and in the air.
Unfortunately, ODIN: Valhalla Rising has no release date yet. The game is being developed for PC and mobile devices with iOS and Android.
ODIN: Valhalla Rising is perhaps one of the most expected games right now, heading into a 2021 release with Kakao Games giant corporation holding the global publishing rights. After a South Korean release, it was revealed that Taiwan (including Hong Kong and Macau) is going to be the next region to have a Odin Vlhalla Rising server. Kakao Games is already displaying a new localized logo (奧丁: 神 叛).
You will find bellow the developer interview trailer shown at G-Star 2020, now replaced with traditional Chinese for local audiences.
We’ve previously covered a lot of ODIN: Valhalla Rising features , so you can check them out. Players will set foot in the various kingdoms found in Norse mythology (Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, Alfheim) and explore them without any loading time.
Unlike other games, the locations you see on the horizon are mostly all explorable rather than just a background image.
November is the time when studios share their financial status for the quarter and their roadmaps for the rest of the year and following year. Kakao Games, the studio that purchased the license for the distribution of Odin Valhalla Rising, published their numbers and roadmap telling what they plan for the remainder of this year and next year. The company significantly increased its game offerings over the past year, and net profit improved by 697.4% compared to the same period last year. Compared to the last quarter (April to June), net income improved by almost 60%. Mobile games are key, as games like Guardian Tales contributed the majority of the revenue.
And what interests us most is that Kakao announced the release of Odin Valhalla Rising for the second half of next year. The launch will be only for Korea and will be playable on PC and mobile devices. There are no details about the monetization model yet, nor was there talk of a global launch, but if all goes well, according to Kakao, next year we can start seeing Odin Valhalla Rising in action.
Kakao Games published new videos of the MMORPG Odin Valhalla Rising at G Star 2020.
Below, you can find the new trailer and part of the Odin Valhalla Rising Gameplay
Odin Valhalla Rising Characteristics
Odin’s first feature named by the developers at Lionheart Studios, is a completely open map with no loading screens and «absolute horizon visibility» movement. The action will take place in a fantasy northern Europe and promise different biomes/continents, inspired by four worlds from Scandinavian mythology: Midgard, Jotunheim, Nidavellir and Alfheim.
Video about the 4 Continents Midgard, Jotunheim, Nidavellir, Alfheim
Each territory has at its disposal interesting NPCs, monsters, bosses, cities. It is not yet known if there are plans to add locations based on other worlds, but they will most likely appear.
The authors then discussed in-game lighting. Lionheart Studio emphasized that it has applied revolutionary lighting technology based on research and testing, which will help to fully convey the feeling of Scandinavian mythology.
Then the concept art of the four classes that should appear in the game was shown (can be seen below). Hee Sung Jong, in charge of the animation, said that the warrior will have a crude design with an emphasis on weight, the sorceress will be «sexy», the rogue will be a «handsome fighter» and the priestess will be «cute and modest with a touch of charm». Between classes, a balance and well-developed roles are promised.
Motion capture and 3D reading technologies were used to create models of characters, monsters, numerous animations, and costumes. For example, many of the armors are authentic medieval knight weapons, realistically modeled and textured by 3D scanning. The same goes for a large number of emotions, damage to the bodies of monsters and other elements.
The developers emphasize that the game’s setting will be Nordic and the last two trailers should have conveyed some of this atmosphere. In the trailer, we see a giant tree and various creatures, all in full size. Including the Jormungand snake shown at the end, we will be smaller than his tooth.
The authors plan to continue to strive for the highest quality of existing mobile games and the greatest degree of freedom and uniqueness.
The new MMORPG Odin Valhalla Rising targets its release for the first half of 2021 in Korea.
Odin valhalla Rising is developed in Unreal Engine 4 that one of the reasons why is looking so beautiful. It will have an open world, vast meadows, snow-covered rocks, dark caves where you will have to rely on the rays of the sun to guide you through this adventure based on Norse mythology

Odin Valhalla Rising is currently being developed as an AAA game for PC and mobile devices.
Odin Valhalla Rising West release?
Well, it is a bit early to talk about that, but we know that the developers are conting on a success of the game in Korea, and then target the global market, including west.
Just a few days ago, a new Korean developer, Lionheart Studio, announced the first 4 playable classes for their upcoming MMORPG game, ODIN: Valhalla Rising. Today, a new trailer was revealed! While the original teaser trailer had no gameplay, this official game trailer shows the story, in-game cinematography, and the actual game as well (but without the player interface)!
Designed with the powerful Unreal Engine 4, ODIN: Valhalla Rising is based on the Nordic mythology, depicting the long war between humans, demons and gods.
ODIN: Valhalla Rising is developed for PC and mobile platforms. As mentioned above, a main feature of ODIN: Valhalla Rising is the open world with no interruptions or loading time when traveling from one region to another (except perhaps for dungeons). Players can explore places like Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, Alfheim, and many more. You will be familiar with this concept if you are a fan of Ragnarok Online or Marvel’s movies.
When the game was first announced as Project Odin, the trailer wowed everyone with its Nordic look. Today, Lionheart Studio not only confirmed their official game title, ODIN: Valhalla Rising, but also previewed the first 4 playable classes. They are very familiar classes from the MMORPG genre, including Warrior, Sorceress, Priest, and Rogue. Without much explanation, I suppose you already know what roles they all have in combat. ODIN: Valhalla Rising is scheduled to release sometime this year.
Other features we know so far are a massive open world with no screen loading, various types of dungeons, and large-scale PVP content. To be a true «next generation» game, ODIN: Valhalla Rising will also have features like climbing cliffs and buildings, swimming, with land and air mounts as well. And how could we forget all the elements of Nordic mythology? keep an eye for more news from ODIN.
Odin Valhalla Rising was first revealed last August by Lionheart Studio, a South Korean-based new developer founded by gaming industry veteran Kim Jae Young. Lionheart Studio officially previewed its inaugural game, a mobile MMORPG known at early stages as Project Odin, developed on Unreal Engine 4.
Odin Valhalla Rising is touted as the «first mobile game to use 3D scanning and motion capture for realistic and immersive gameplay.»
The game is currently planned to launch in South Korea later this year.
Odin is based on Nordic mythology, and you may be familiar with names like Odin, Freyja, Loki, and the famous Thor. You can even see Yggdrasil near the end of the trailer!. As seen from the trailer and screenshots, Project Odin features magnificent scenaries and monsters of all sizes. Kim Jae Young also stated that Odin is an «ultra realistic» game. Stay tuned for any new updates!
The recently announced MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising couldn’t have come at a better time. Amid the hype for Norse mythology, with Vikings series and the new Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Odin: Valhalla Rising arrive and we can’t wait to immerse ourselves in the Viking world. The Norse mythology-themed MMORPG from Korean studio Lionheart Studio is starting to get real with the latest trailer for the game and a publishing deal.
Kakao Games has signed a publishing contract with developer Lionheart Studio. The regions included in the agreement were not mentioned in the official press release, however, South Korea is definitely included. Kakao Games also announced that it has made a «strategic capital investment» in Lionheart Studio. While not confirmed, we believe that the territory rights could be global.
As for the game itself, it is being developed for PC and mobile devices, a world of humans, demons, and gods at war, made with Unreal Engine 4. Players will reportedly be able to visit places like Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, and Alfheim.
