Aion 2 Update Introduces fromis_9 Collaboration and Big Membership Changes

NC has released a brand-new update for its MMORPG Aion 2, bringing an exciting collaboration with the K-pop idol group fromis_9. The update introduces limited-time event content, themed cosmetics, a complete overhaul of the game’s membership system, and fresh PvP challenges.

fromis_9 Collaboration Content and Limited-Time Events

To celebrate the collaboration, Aion 2 has released a special video featuring the members of fromis_9 traveling through the game’s world of Atreia. Players can acquire the outfits worn by the group in the video. Equipping a full cosmetic set will transform the player’s character into one of the members of fromis_9.

Along with the outfits, the update introduces several themed items:

Using these emotes automatically plays the song and allows nearby players to join in and dance. Performing these emotes on the fromis_9 Collaboration Stage in town also triggers special automatic stage effects.

Players can also participate in the commemorative event, The Stolen Performance Props, which runs until August 12. By completing event quests to recover missing props for the group, players can earn three types of emotes and a limited-edition title.

Membership Consolidation and PvP System Updates

NC has also overhauled Aion 2’s membership options. The existing Shugo Express, Breeze, and Chengarung memberships have been discontinued and consolidated into a single option called the Kwairing Express. This integrated membership offers enhanced benefits at a reduced price.

For competitive players, the update introduces the Abyss Rift Zone, a server-wide PvP mode where players battle on a large battlefield to defeat field bosses. Rewards are distributed based on event performance and include:

The Abyss Rift Zone opens at regular intervals, matching players on a server-unit basis, and does not consume any Abyss entry time.

Quality of Life Improvements

Based on player feedback, the update includes several quality of life changes. The maximum number of pins that can be placed on the world map has been increased from 10 to 30. Additionally, all skill cooldowns will now reset immediately upon the conclusion of an Awakening Battle.
