NCSOFT has released a brand-new update for AION 2 following the launch of Chapter 1. The July 8 maintenance brings extensive class balancing, a flat 30 percent PvP damage reduction across the board, crafting enhancements, and the return of the Encore cosmetic collection.
Content and System Changes
Crafting
- New designs have been added that allow players to craft food and drinks in bundles of 10.
Material Conversion
- A new design has been introduced to convert Daevanion Crystal Fragments into a Bound Book of Souls.
Expedition
- The Citadel of the Fallen Daeva Conquest Od Energy Cube reward now includes the Bound Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation.
Battlegrounds
- Several base stats applied inside the Battlegrounds have been adjusted.
Class Balance and PvP Updates
Combat in AION 2 receives a significant adjustment in this update. All classes now deal 30 percent less PvP damage. Additionally, the Defiance common skill has been reworked.

The Encore Collection returns to the store for a limited time. The sale runs from the end of the July 8 maintenance until the July 22 maintenance. Items are accessible via the in-game Shop menu under Event, Encore, or through the Wardrobe Shop for armor skins.

Improvements and Bug Fixes
System Improvements
- Sanctuary clear-count requirements under Clash Achievements have been lowered across the board.
- The Eltnen and Morheim zones have been added as completion conditions for the Pride of the Elyos/Asmodian Army and Waving the White/Black Flag weekly challenges.
- PvP stat caps have been added for combat within the Chaotic Middle Reshanta Surface Layer.
- The Abyss-grade reward ranking buff no longer applies inside the Chaotic Middle Reshanta Surface Layer.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Od Energy Cube sometimes failed to open inside the Sanctuary.
- Resolved a bug in the Remnants of the Fallen Past region quest that prevented the barrier from lifting.
- Corrected the location marker for the To Eltnen episode quest to point to the Verteron Traveler.
- Fixed incorrect pet crystal drops from certain Eltnen and Morheim monsters that did not align with the actual pet type.
- Addressed an intermittent issue where killing quest monsters too quickly blocked progression.
- Adjusted the sale order in the Growth tab of the Season Shop, moving Bound Philosopher’s Stone: Authority to appear after Bound Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation.
- Resolved an issue where certain Radiant Ungryong King and Giryong King gear could not be used as material in advanced Inheritance crafting designs.
- Corrected stats for Merchant Prince Guardian General Nachma, adjusting Justice, Time, and Destruction stats from 50 to 55.
- Renamed the Sprout Badge reward Small Od Energy (Bound) to Grateful Small Od Energy (Bound) and fixed its icon.
- Increased the Stage 4 Sprout Badge reward in the Abyssal Horn Den from 2 to 3 Bound Small Od Energy.
- Allowed the Redeemed Fallen Wing Feather (Bound) from the Citadel of the Fallen Daeva to be used as material for converting Bound Soul Crystals and Enchant Stones.
- Raised the maximum stack size for Trace of Masterpiece from 1,000 to 100,000.
- Allowed Dragon Essence (Bound) and Radiant Dragon Essence (Bound) to be stored in server storage.
- Fixed a tracking issue in the Slow and Steady Growth Support mission where the Expedition clear count increased incorrectly when clearing the Citadel of the Fallen Daeva on Hard.
- Corrected title displays for defeating Superbia, Divine Beast of Life and Igetis of Greed.
- Fixed an issue where boss-summoned monsters did not disappear upon a boss reset or defeat, applying to all bosses including Kaldrix in Muspell’s Grail.
- Fixed a bug during the Terminator Bargott encounter in the Sanctuary Corroded Decontamination Facility that allowed players to throw the Bagot Time Bomb at allies.
- Resolved an issue where Terminator Bargott’s wipe skill could be avoided or blocked.
- Fixed several issues with Griossa in the Citadel of the Fallen Daeva, including removing vulnerability to Slow, resolving missing or inaccurate attack range warnings, and fixing missing projectiles during the Lightning Roar pattern.
- Corrected an issue where glide speed increased abnormally when hit by Execution Blade while gliding in the Citadel of the Fallen Daeva.
- Fixed projectile portal disappearances during the Awakened Atheron encounter in Nightmare Layer IV when a Spiritmaster unsummoned its spirit.
- Fixed text wrapping issues on the item recovery criteria notice.
- Fixed an issue where the final tick of damage-over-time effects intermittently failed to apply.
- Resolved a bug allowing opposing faction players in Eltnen/Morheim to use teleport portals to the Verteron Traveler and Blue Wave Kelpina.
Material Recovery and Restorations
- Retroactive Material Refunds: Because same-grade Inheritance is now guaranteed at 100 percent, players who previously lost Inheritance Stones during failed attempts have received them back as Bound Inheritance Stone Fragments.
- Coupon Re-grant: Players who redeemed expired Clash Rune Bundles via the AION2CHAPTERONE coupon after the July 1 maintenance have had the items replaced with bundles valid until November 4.
