Aion 2 Elyos Leveling Guide: Levels 25–40

The mid-game push — mid-tier hideouts and strongholds drive your Gear Score toward the endgame.

Overview

Levels 25 to 40 are the long middle of the Elyos road. The campaign keeps moving you through new regions, but the real story of this band is gear: this is where you shift from "follow the quests" to "build your Gear Score on purpose."

Strongholds join your hideouts as a gear source, the enchant tiers start to matter, and you begin assembling the set you will take into the endgame. Stay on the main story for levels, but budget real time for clears and enchanting.

Strongholds and the Gear Score climb

Alongside hideouts, strongholds become a key part of your gear loop this band — they supply the higher-tier materials, including the scrolls some accessories need to enchant, that push your Gear Score past what quests alone give.

Treat Gear Score as the goal now: every enchant level and every item-level upgrade counts toward the threshold the first endgame dungeon will ask for, so keep your core pieces — weapon first — climbing.

Gear & your first enchants

Mid-tier hideouts and strongholds are your engine here. Run them for materials, push enchants on your weapon and main armor, and do not hoard upgrades. As enchant tiers climb the success rates fall, so spend your materials where they matter most — weapon, then chest — rather than spreading them thin.

Accessories start to pull weight too. Higher-grade pieces can need a slot-specific enchant scroll on top of the usual stones, and strongholds are where those come from, so fold them into your rotation.

Hideouts

You are past the one-and-done early hideouts now: the mid-tier instances and strongholds of this band are where your Gear Score actually grows. Prioritise the clears that feed your weapon and chest enchants, and keep a steady rotation rather than chasing every quest the moment it appears.

What's next

By 40 you should have a coherent set, a healthy Gear Score and the materials loop down cold. The final stretch is next — the Elyos 40–45 guide covers closing the campaign, hitting the Gear Score gate and stepping into Krao Cave.

Frequently asked questions

How do I raise Gear Score fastest from 25 to 40?

Run mid-tier hideouts and strongholds for materials and focus your enchants on your weapon and chest. Gear Score is your equipped item levels plus enchant levels, so concentrated enchanting beats spreading materials thin.

What are strongholds for?

They are a gear source alongside hideouts that supplies higher-tier materials — including the enchant scrolls some accessories need — to push your Gear Score past what the campaign alone provides.

Do I need to grind, or is the campaign enough?

The campaign still carries your levels, but from 25 on you should actively run hideouts and strongholds for gear — leveling and gearing happen together in this band.
