HoYoverse has revealed a significant new content drop for their action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, dubbed Update 2.7, ‘The Past Cannot Defeat Champions.’
Mark your calendars for March 24, 2026, as this patch introduces the thrilling ‘Champions of the Caverns’ tournament, proudly sponsored by TOP.
Contestants will battle fiercely for a coveted Lumisplav Amplificator, with fan-favorite factions like the ‘Sly Rabbits’ and ‘Sons of Caledon’ returning to the fray, alongside intriguing newcomers, including the notorious outlaw, Romulus.
Romulus poses a unique challenge with his ‘Contagion Barrier,’ a defensive maneuver that significantly boosts his resilience. Players must strategically exploit elemental anomalies to overcome this formidable defense.
The agent roster expands with two fresh faces:
First, meet Cissia, an electric-aligned offensive powerhouse. Her combat style revolves around managing ‘Poison’ charges, which temporarily enhance her critical hit rate. Mastering the expenditure of these charges through her standard attacks will unleash devastating damage.
Then there’s Nangong Yu, an ‘Intimidation’ specialist wielding ethereal powers. Her expertise lies in building up stun effects and amplifying attribute anomalies for the entire team. Her ‘Strong Beats’ system allows for extended enemy stun durations, while her ultimate ability provides an attack buff to all allies. Furthermore, Nangong Yu will debut with a stylish alternate costume.
Beyond the battlefield, players can look forward to a vibrant themed event at the ‘Boiling Pot’ hotpot restaurant in Lumina Square, where they’ll master innovative culinary techniques.
For combat enthusiasts, a new Special Operations Department mission will test their tactical prowess, demanding seamless control over three rotating pairs of agents.
Finally, the virtual combat simulator receives an overhaul, introducing fresh adversaries and a new bonus point system for executing specific maneuvers.
