On July 3, 2025, at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, CD PROJEKT RED surprised fans by officially unveiling Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a brand-new anime series set in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077. This production, co-produced with the prestigious Japanese studio TRIGGER, will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Under the title “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners — Behind the Scenes With its Creators”, the panel streamed live and featured:

  • Bartosz Sztybor (writer & producer)
  • Hiroyuki Imaishi (director of the first Edgerunners)

  • Zach Aguilar (voice of David Martinez)

The creators shared original development anecdotes and emphasized their desire to explore new facets of Night City, promising a more intense, emotional narrative.
