If you were disappointed when Bandai Namco pulled the plug on Blue Protocol and Amazon dropped out of publishing it in the West, here’s some great news: Tencent has taken over and announced that Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is coming to Europe and the Americas in 2025.
The announcement came alongside an official trailer and press release, confirming that pre-registration is already live on the official website, with store pages also up on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
A new take on a lost game
While it builds on the original Blue Protocol project, Star Resonance will feel like a completely new experience for Western players — after all, the original game never officially launched outside Japan.
Expect an anime-inspired art style, fluid combat, a flexible class system, a rich open world, extensive customization options, and deep social gameplay mechanics.
