Aion 2 Elyos Leveling Guide: Levels 1–10

Escape Poeta, ascend to Daeva at level 5, and reach the Dawn Legion base — the opening stretch of the Elyos road to endgame.

Overview

The first ten levels are short and almost entirely on rails: the main campaign carries you the whole way, so there is very little reason to grind. As an Elyos you begin in Poeta, break out, and make for the Dawn Legion forward base, which becomes your hub for the rest of the band.

The one moment that matters most is your Ascension at level 5 — the point where a mortal becomes a Daeva and gains wings. Take the main-story (Hero) quests in order, grab the Ascension the instant it appears, and by level 10 you will have your first proper gear and access to the early hideouts.

Becoming a Daeva — the Ascension at level 5

At level 5 the campaign hands you the quest “Fledgling Wings,” which sends you to talk to Asahr in the Ascension Subspace. Completing it is your Ascension: you gain flight and stop being a mortal.

Do not postpone it. The Ascension gates the rest of your progression and is the foundation that Stigmas, the Daevanion board and your gear all build on — so take it the moment the main story offers it.

Main-story checklist

Follow these Elyos campaign (Hero) quests in order — the level shown is the game's recommended level for each step. Click any quest for full details.

Gear & your first enchants

Your gear this band comes from three places: campaign and side-quest rewards, the starter set the legion hands you near level 10, and the basic vendors at the base. The rule is simple — keep the highest item-level piece you own in every slot, because your Gear Score is just the sum of your equipped item levels plus enchant levels.

Once you have a few pieces, start enchanting. The lowest enchant tiers are cheap and effectively risk-free, so push your weapon first and then your armor. You are nowhere near the Gear Score the first endgame dungeon will ask for yet — that is the goal across the coming bands — but every point here counts toward it.

Hideouts

Hideouts are small instanced dungeons and they become your best source of materials and gear once they hit their recommended level near 10. Clear the ones around your zone as they unlock — their first clears are the most efficient experience-and-loot per minute in the band, and they feed the enchant materials you just started spending.

What's next

By level 10 you should have ascended, equipped a starter set and run your first hideouts. From here the campaign pushes deeper toward Verteron and the Cantas Valley and your gear curve steepens — continue with the Elyos 10–25 guide, where the Daevanion board and Stigmas open up.

Frequently asked questions

What level do Elyos ascend (get wings) in Aion 2?

Level 5. The main-story quest “Fledgling Wings” sends you to Asahr in the Ascension Subspace; finishing it turns you into a Daeva and grants flight. Take it as soon as it appears — it gates everything after it.

Where do Elyos start in Aion 2?

In Poeta. The opening campaign has you escape and reach the Dawn Legion forward base, which is your hub through level 10.

Should I grind or follow quests from 1–10?

Follow the main-story (Hero) quests — they out-pace grinding by a wide margin in this band. The only detours worth taking are the hideouts once they reach their recommended level near 10.
