Namebound Incantation

“Namecard: Namebound Incantation”

Namecard of Oneiroi, a member of the Bureau of Anomaly Control's CSU-2. A photograph, and a name. It is the name her parents gave her at birth—and in some distant legend, it also seems to belong to a god who rules over dreams. The name clings to her like an incantation. Was her Esper Ability granted because of it? Or had that god already foreseen the miracle that would be bestowed upon her, quietly planting this name in her parents' minds before they chose it? Tangled, disordered questions drift through her thoughts, bump against her forehead, and fall to the floor—without echo, without answer.
