Colucci Family, Honorary Member
Mint is actually a member of the great Colucci family too… well, to be exact, an honorary member.
After receiving Nanally Colucci's olive branch, Mint thought long and hard about joining, with the same seriousness she puts into preparing for makeup exams.
First! Mint totally respects this genius girl!
Second! A family sounds really cool! Mint loves hanging out with friends (family-members-to-be)!
Most importantly: Mint is worst at saying no to people!
However, Mint ultimately declined Nanally's proposal, promising that as an honorary member of the family, she'd drop by Eibon from time to time.
Because… Containment Units work is super, super busy, and if Nanally suddenly called a family meeting, Mint couldn't guarantee she'd be able to rush over right away. That would make Mint a tardy family member, and she'd be breaking the family rules!
The most important thing about a family is the rules. That's just how it is.
Kittens always grow up so fast
There is an inevitable pain that comes with becoming a teenager—its the most unforgettable memory of a child. Waking up in the middle of the night from an ache, growing taller with each stretch of the body…
But for Mint, this physical pain was never present.
Maybe she was too young when her growth spurts hit; she reached her current height before she was 10. Maybe her naturally carefree nature made her unusually slow to react to the changes that come with growing up. Whatever anguish that summer’s on-and-off joint pain might have brought got left behind along with her brand new, unopened summer homework.
Tiny and Big Kid
An awkward age, an awkward height. She towered so much over her peers that strangers would mistake her for a high school student several years older. It wasn't too surprising that Mint, as such a "big kid," couldn't really play with her little friends.
Mint liked climbing trees to nap in the sun, a blade of grass between her teeth as she secretly watched the neighbor kids play and fight. Then, casually… or at least trying to make it look casual, she'd help get their kites unstuck from the branches.
"Tiny" suddenly appeared during one of her half-asleep moments, and Mint still remembers how embarrassing she looked tumbling out of that tree.
The young-faced little guy called out to her: "Hey, kid."
Kitty Crossbody Bag
A candy-colored waist bag gifted by "Tiny," with a matching notebook inside. The pages are clean, smooth, and absolutely beautiful.
Hands in pockets, super cool "Tiny" gave Mint the childish, adorable gift before parting, stubbornly defending it as "perfect for a little brat like you."
She met someone who looked like a kid, but was actually a sharp-eyed, reliable adult working at the Bureau of Anomaly Control! Tiny and Big Kid had an unforgettable adventure that summer! Tiny helped Big Kid better control her Esper Ability! Tiny is Big Kid's most important friend! Tiny and Big Kid will meet again in the future!
Little Mint achieved her dream at summer's end: join BAC and reunite with "Tiny" (who'll be "Tiny Senpai" by then).
