Who is Yinlin?
Yinlin is a 5-star character who wields the Electro element and fights with a rectifier. She is set to appear in version 1.0 of the game. As a standout character, many players are eager to add her to their teams due to her unique abilities and role as a Sub-DPS.
When will she be available in Wuthering Waves?
Originally, her banner was expected to be available from June 13, 2024, until the end of version 1.0, but Kuro Games decided to release it earlier. Yinlin will be available in the game through the Featured Resonators Rally starting on June 6 2024, and you can obtain her until June 28 2024. Similar to other games like Genshin Impact, the moves made in the previous banner (in this case, Jiyan’s banner) will carry over to Yinlin’s banner. This means if you lost the 50/50 with Jiyan, you are guaranteed to get Yinlin within the next 80 moves.

How to use Yinlin
Her role in the team
Yinlin stand out as a Sub-DPS who deals damage through additional attacks. She uses two types of marks to inflict extra damage on enemies:
- Sin Mark: Releases an additional attack when the resonance skill is used.
- Punishment Mark: All attacks trigger additional attacks, even after switching characters.
Due to her wide AoE, she is excellent for battles against multiple enemies.
Best team combinations

- Calcharo: Main DPS
- Yinlin: Uses Outro skill to boost Electro damage
- Verina: Supports the team
This team focuses on maximizing Calcharo’s electric damage, with Verina healing and boosting attacks.
➤ Wide-Range ATK Team
- Jiyan: DPS ideal for long-range attacks
- Yinlin: Excellent for fighting multiple enemies
- Baizhi: Supports the team
This team is ideal for challenges with many enemies, leveraging Jiyan and Yinlin’s wide-range attacks.
Best Echoes and weapons

- Thunderous Mephis: Best for main DPS, increases electric damage and resonance release damage.
- Heron of Impermanence: Best for support role, increases incoming character damage and Havoc damage.
- Flutist: Continuously fires an electric beam to deal damage, gaining 1 concert energy with each hit.
- Suelen, Suelen: Attracts enemies and is easy to obtain.
➤ Weapons
- Stringmaster or Cosmic Ripples: While the main crit rate stat of 36% on this weapon might seem irresistible, it’s not the only valuable stat in the game. As you progress towards the endgame, many of your Echoes already provide a high crit rate, making the additional crit from this weapon less significant. Additionally, Yinlin gains a 15% crit rate from her passive talent after using her resonance skill. According to my calculations, Yinlin’s signature weapon is about 13% stronger than the Standard Banner Rectifier, Cosmic Ripples. However, since Yinlin is not a Main DPS, this 13% increase is not as impactful as it would be for someone like Jiyan. If you want to save your Asterite, consider getting Cosmic Ripples with standard pulls. If you have the Battle Pass, the upgrade weapon is also a good option.
