Game developer Saroasis Studios has announced the dates for the first exclusive technical test of its upcoming action RPG, Rewinding Cadence. This initial testing phase will be confined to PC players only, running from March 27 to March 29, 2026, with participation restricted solely to the China region.
The test is strictly confidential, meaning all selected participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Invitations are currently being distributed through the TapTap platform and via SMS notifications. Those fortunate enough to receive an invite must confirm their involvement by March 17. This confirmation process involves joining the game’s official testing community and completing a verification step. Players should note that all in-game data will be wiped clean once the testing period concludes.
At its heart, Rewinding Cadence explores a compelling time-loop narrative. Players embody “Returners,” individuals with a mere 42 days remaining until their planet’s destruction. Alongside a mysterious companion named Chu, heroes must repeatedly relive this critical period, manipulating causality in an attempt to avert the impending catastrophe. A unique gameplay element involves twenty-sided dice mechanics, which influence character luck and the outcomes of random events, dynamically branching the storyline in numerous directions.
Combat in Rewinding Cadence revolves around summoning various spirits, each possessing distinctive fighting styles. Beyond tactical depth, the developers are emphasizing a striking visual aesthetic, heavily inspired by anime, and enhanced with eccentric flourishes. These include dynamic stickers and highly expressive character animations that activate directly within battles. For rapid navigation across the sprawling open world, players can utilize an ancient artifact known as the “Sliding Box,” allowing them to traverse challenging terrain at high speeds.
