Interface and PC Experience
Some players expressed concerns that the UI looked too “mobile-like”, but the team clarified that Aion 2 is designed as a PC-first title. They also confirmed the interface isn’t final, as they rushed it to meet the open beta schedule. Since the last broadcast, improvements have already been made to ensure the experience feels more natural on PC.
Gameplay and Systems
- Dungeons & PvP: players can now teleport directly into dungeons, preventing ambushes at entrances. This ensures smoother leveling, while PvP content will have its own dedicated space.
- Mobile Combat: there will be no full “auto-combat.” Instead, a combat assistance system will keep gameplay accessible on mobile, while still requiring active player input.
- Abyss Zone: PvP will be available for 7 hours per week, with the option to extend the timer using special items.
- Death & Revival: in PvE, revival items can be used, but in PvP resurrection crystals won’t work if killed by the enemy faction. Kisks return, allowing players to set custom respawn points just like in Aion 1.
- Factions: Elyos and Asmodians are more balanced overall, though some differences remain.
Mounts, Housing, and Economy
Mounts will serve a dual purpose: besides transportation, they can also act as companion pets. The housing system lets players showcase achievements and reward statues.
On the economy side:
- Kinah remains the main in-game currency.
- Quna is used for shop transactions.
- The auction house only uses Kinah, though players can freely exchange Kinah and Quna, with rates determined by the player-driven economy (similar to Lost Ark).
Business Model
The game will be free-to-play with optional subscription and battle pass. The cash shop will include cosmetics, outfits, weapon skins, pets, and wings. Pets can also be earned in-game. A wardrobe system will store skins, and the trading post will offer consumables and limited bag expansions (but no enchantment stones).
Official Release Date
The most awaited news is finally here:
- Official Launch: November 19, 2025 (November 18 depending on your time zone).
- Pre-download & character creation: November 16–18, 2025.
- Pre-registration rewards: Kinah and a special mount, no phone number required.
With these announcements, the hype is skyrocketing: Aion 2 now has a confirmed release date in Korea and Taiwan, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest MMORPG launches of the year.
