The rebirth of ARPG
It’s been several months since we last heard about Path of Exile 2, but every announcement about this promising fantasy ARPG gives us more reasons to get excited. Since its presentation, has positioned itself as a serious contender to rival Diablo IV, and for good reason. Blizzard is surely paying close attention to what Grinding Gear Games is preparing, especially considering it’s a free game. Although we didn’t expect news at an event like State of Play, now there are plenty of reasons to be excited.
Surprise at State of Play
POE 2 pleasantly surprised ARPG fans during Sony’s event. The big news is that the console version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have very interesting features. Most importantly, PoE 2 will debut in early access at the end of 2024, both on PC and the mentioned consoles, and players will be able to enjoy crossplay and cross-progression.
Exclusive console features
In addition to the early access date, it was announced that Path of Exile 2 will feature an exclusive cooperative mode for consoles. This mode will allow you to play alongside a companion, either through their account or as a guest, with a split-screen HUD and inventory.
